IPU BSc Eligibility & Highlights 2026

IPU BSc is a full-time programme offered across five specialisations. The University also offers a BSc (Hons) Nursing programme for unmarried female candidates and is of four years duration. Also, while BSc Yoga, MLT, MIT and MTR programmes are offered for three years, BSc Nursing (Post-Basic) is a two-year programme.

Admission to BSc (Hons) Nursing is carried out via NEET UG. However, the seat allotment process for both BSc/ BSc (Hons) programmes to the affiliated colleges of GGSIPU is carried out via CUET/ IPU CET Counselling as per the preferences of candidates. Yoga	Passed Class 12 of CBSE or equivalent in any Science stream with a minimum of 50% aggregate in any four subjects, including English (core/ elective/ functional) provided that the candidate has passed in each subject separately
Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT)	Passed Class 12 of 10+2 of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately. A candidate also must have passed in English (core/ elective/ functional) as a subject of study in the qualifying examination
Nursing (Post-Basic)	The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council, and Passed in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) with a minimum of 55% aggregate from an institution which is recognised by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), and the candidate should be medically fit

IPU BSc Admission Dates 2026

The selection for BSc at GGSIPU is also granted based on IPU CET and CUET scores in BSc courses; hence, aspirants should keep themselves updated with IPU CET dates and the CUET exam dates as well. CUET registrations generally open in February and close by Apr. Aspirants must submit applications on or before the prescribed deadline. Tabulated below are the IPU BSc admission dates 2026:

IP University BSc Admission 2026: How to Apply?

IPU BSc admission is based on merit scored in Class 12. The admission process also includes a counselling round. Exams like CUET/IPU CET are accepted for IP University admission process.

Go to the official website of the university, www.ipu.ac.in.

Step 1: IPU BSc Application Process 2026

The admission confirmation for the BSc course is subject to verification of the original document and marksheet at the time of counselling. Now, read the application process for BSc course

1.1 Click on the 'Admission' tab.

1.2: Click on 'Start' to proceed.

1.3: Click on 'Online Admission Form' from the drag-down menu.

1.4: Select BSc/ BSc (Hons)

1.5: Click on 'CET' courses for BSc

1.6: Click on 'Non-CET' for BSc (Hons).

1.7: Upload documents, pay the fees and submit the application.

Candidate's passport-size photograph

Step 2: Release of Cutoff

The applications are shortlisted based on IPU CET/CUET. A cutoff list is released of the names of selected students.

Step 3: Admission Confirmation

Students who meet the cutoff will participate in counselling for seat allotment. The fee has to be paid for seat confirmation. IPU BSc tuition fees range between INR 2.1 lakh and INR 5.2 lakh. The given fee is taken from the official website. It is still subject to change.

IPU BSc Cutoff

Candidates must meet the university cutoff mark to become eligible for the course admission. The GGSIPU cutoff list is released for each course admission. Aspirants who meet the cutoff criteria become eligible for admission. The university may accept NEET scores for admission to the BSc nursing courses. In 2023, the last round closing rank for BSc (Hons) Nursing was 64302 for the General-All India category. I am absolutely satisfying after getting admission to an IPU-affiliated government college.

Placements: The placement is good, and the salary during the internship is also good. The infrastructure is good, and the faculty is also great. We can expect around 13,000 per month during the internship period. After that, normal nursing staff can earn 50,000 in government hospitals and around 25,000 to 35,000 in the private sector.

Infrastructure: The rooms are good. There is a playroom and a library for studying. Equipment for playing is available. Outing timings are proper and beneficial. The market is very close to the college, within walking distance. Necessary items can be bought easily. Overall, it's good.

Faculty: Teachers are well-educated and well-mannered. They treat us like daughters and guide us well. They have good knowledge of subjects. Classes start and end at the proper timing and proper way. Attendance plays an important role.

Other: The campus area is good, and there is a playground for playing. Equipment for playing is available.

I am absolutely satisfied with the clinical exposure I get.

Placements: There are a minimum 1,000 vacancies of nursing officers with a salary of Rs. 90,000 per month and 80% girls reservation. Roles offered to us are registered nurse and nursing officer. Many foreign companies approached us as certified nurses. This college gives us so much exposure.

Infrastructure: Library, labs, demonstration room, and classrooms are available with full air-conditioning in summer and room theater in winter. It has a well-developed infrastructure. Canteens and lecture halls are available with noise noise-free campus, and we will love this place. It is extraordinary.

Faculty: Teachers are very knowledgeable. They all are PhD holders. They teach us with the best quality. The course curriculum is very relevant and they teach us according to the syllabus. Only 50% is needed to pass the semester exams. It has a good pattern of exams. In the university exams, we have to get 80%.

Other: I chose this course because I want to become a nursing officer. This course should provide more practical work and less theoretical.

Good infrastructure and facilities with highly skilled faculty, and bad placements in 2024.

Placements: Basically, there is no placement cell for our course. Only 26% of students got placed in a research project under department faculty. The average salary package offered in our course is not specified. Top recruiting companies or organisations for our course are WHO, NHM, DGHS, and Unicef. Our course is of 4 years of which 3 years are for academic studies and 1 year is for internships. Internships are provided by the department itself. Top roles offered in our course are epidemiologist, research associate, field worker, associate professor, and senior demonstrater in some academic departments of School of Public Health.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, but it can be better. Our department (DCM & SPH) contains classrooms for different years, a library, and Wi-Fi. The library is provided by the PGI Campus. Water and canteen facilities are also there. The quality of the hostel facilities is average. The quality of food is good, clean, and hygienic. Medical facilities are also provided to the students. The sports management team is also there. On an average, it is good.

Faculty: All professors and associate professors are highly qualified and knowledgeable. We have extremely knowledgeable and qualified teachers to help you in gaining your knowledge. The course curriculum is not very good. Our course is a new concept in India, it needs some kind of changes but the faculty and HOD itself take feedback from students to improve the quality of study and curriculum. There are no semester exams in this college. Annual exams are there, and I think annual exams are a better idea for students. The passing percentage is 50%.

Other: I chose this course as I want to be a field worker and get attached to the population at the field level to get to know their feedback so that the government can do better. The best thing about our course is that it fulfills my wishes and provides good exposure to the population. The curriculum needs to get better. As this course is new, the department should need to change by taking trips from foreign countries for this course. There are enough events and fests to relieve your mind. Everyone enjoys it a lot as our campus is in the hospital itself. It is much needed for a student.

Dissatisfied with the higher officials and facilities for low placements.

Placements: There is a 1-year internship in the course. But the placements are a little low because the course is new and started 4 years ago. There are seats that should be given to eligible students but jobs are given to low-grade workers in order to give them a low salary and keep the government fund for themselves.

Infrastructure: There are very well developed classrooms and auditoriums for classes and conferences . Practical exposure is very high. The price of mess is very reasonable . Medical facilities are provided to each and every student . There is special relief in medicines for the students.

Faculty: Very experienced professors are available for teaching and are very helpful . Semester exams are of good level . The quality of teaching is top notch and one of the best all over the country. The administrative officials are very strict in order to make the students work hard .

Other: Placement of this course is a little low and colleges should work on it and give more importance to students well-being.

Exposure-wise, this college is the best.

Placements: Your placement depends entirely on your capability to clear exams like NORCET for government positions. For private placements with the name of this college, you can expect to earn around 15-20k. The college mainly provides a good name for your degree.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is the best, as it's the largest and most reputed college after AIIMS Delhi in the entire city. The college hospital and its buildings are spread over a huge area offering ample exposure. Also, the college is located in Asari Nagar West, which is in South Delhi.

Faculty: The teachers are nice and humble, and they cooperate well and consider reasonable grievances. Overall, the faculty is average. However, a few teachers may behave rudely, but since they are few, it's manageable.

Other: This college doesn't have a bond, so if you want to attempt NEET again, you can opt for this as a backup.

Placements: Students must crack the NORCET exam to get permanent government jobs. You get paid internships. Placements are provided on a contract basis after the course completion. Other than B.Sc. Nursing, our college also provides MBBS course.

Infrastructure: Two students share a room. First preference is given to outsiders for accommodation, and then Delhi students are given priority. Mess is available, but there is no canteen. There are no playgrounds for various activities. Classrooms are well maintained.

Faculty: Our teachers are knowledgeable and qualified. One should study well for an overall academic result to pass the semester exam. Our teachers focus on clinical-based teaching with theory portion. Clinical hours are posted so students get well-trained in their respective fields.
