IPU MBA Eligibility & Highlights 2026
GGSIPU MBA programme is offered across different specialisations. For a GGSIPU MBA in IT admission, IPU conducts IPU CET, followed by a University-level counselling process. For remaining specialisations, admissions are accepted based on a candidate's CAT score. If the seats remain vacant after counselling based on the CAT score, then counselling is conducted based on the CMAT score. IPU conducts a Common Entrance Test (CET) for IPU MBA admissions for vacant seats.
The University shall conduct admissions in regular MBA programmes in the University School of Management Studies and affiliated institutes. All the specialisations offered under the GGSIPU MBA course along with their eligibility criteria are given below:

No, CAT is not the only exam based on which admission is granted. GGSIPU accepts the CAT percentile for MBA admission basis on which a merit list of selected candidates is released for the counselling round. Moreover, for the MBA in IT course, the university conducted IPU CET exam is accepted. In case the seats are left vacant after CAT candidates, then the seat allotment is carried out based on the candidate's CMAT scores.
No, GGSIPU doesn't offer direct admission. IP University does not allow any of the affiliated colleges/institutes/agencies to grant direct admission to any of the courses of the university.

GGSIPU MBA admission cycle commences with the release of the application form. Candidates seeking admission should keep themselves updated with the schedule of accepted exams as well. The registration process is generally carried out from Feb to Apr month of the academic year. It is however as per the past years' data and hence, is indicative. Yes, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) admission 2026 are open. Students must apply online through the official website of the university. The registration process and counselling for various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes is ongoing.
Admission to most of the GGSIPU courses is done through entrance tests. However, direct admissions are available through the Management quota. Only some colleges under the GGSIPU accept direct admissions through Management quota.
There is also spot/sliding round admissions available for leftover seats after all CET counselling rounds are over. The colleges fill these seats via walk-in or direct applications.
GGSIPU IPU CET cutoff 2026 was released for the first round of admission to the BTech course and its various specialisations. The cutoff was announced for different AI and HS quota categories.
For the General AI category, the BTech CSE (AI) course round 1 cutoff ranged from 46521 to 158229. As per this range, Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology was the hardest college for admission.
For the BTech. + MTech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering programme, the R1 cutoff ranged from 41125 to 162095. As per this range, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University was the hardest institute for admission for this course.

Candidates must pass graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate to apply for MBA at GGSIPU. Aspirants should also have score in CUET-PG, CET, CAT or CMAT. Shortlisted candidates also need to participate in selection rounds for admission in MBA course.
GGSIPU MBA Cutoff
The cutoff for IPU varies from one specialisation to another. It depends upon factors like the number of applicants, their exam scores, the highest score, and the seat intake. As per last year's cutoff data of the general MBA course, for EWNOHS, the min rank was 437, and the max rank was 646. Also, for OPNOHS, the maximum was 1 and the minimum was 356.
