M.Sc. in Botany - Batch of 2020

The college is filled with greenery, trees, grass, and a huge field.
Placements: From the 5th semester, students get internships and job opportunities. There are endless companies that visit the college every year. The highest package of this college is 40 LPA, and in this package, they provide transport and other facilities. Almost 80% of students get placed every year. My plan after my degree is to get placed in good company for my good future.
Faculty: The student-to-teacher ratio is 10:1 in the college. Teachers here are very kind as they clear all the doubts of academics and non-academics. Preethi mam was one of the most kindest and intelligent teachers out here. I did not like one teacher who was in the electronics department as he would not get us out of the classes, and he ran towards us to study all the time. Exams here are not difficult, and it is easy to moderate. It is good for practicing for semester exams.
Other: I also joined the red ribbon club in the college, where unity is the main motto and is represented by a red ribbon.

The course is designed for research as well as the industrial sector.
Placements: From the fifth semester, students are eligible for campus placements. Various product-based and service-based companies like Flipkart, Accenture, Scalar, Visa, etc., visit the college for placements. The college makes efforts to place every student.
Infrastructure: There is a wide range of books and journals in the library. Our classrooms are equipped with modern technological tools required for the learning and understanding of the subject. The college also provides bus facilities for students and faculty members.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly experienced and the teaching style is awesome. They conduct class tests from time to time and focus on average students. They clear all our doubts.
Other: The scholarship scheme is available in this college. The college fee structure is less as compared to other colleges. Middle-class family affords the fee and other state students also come to this college. Annual college week is held every year during February and during this week various sports and activities are organised. There are many clubs like a music club, a dance club, etc., in our college.

The environment is green and peaceful and nice to study.
Placements: Many companies are offered internships here like Infosys and Wipro, etc. They are giving stipend internships here. The college is celebrating with companies and giving a chance to get an internship here. Projects mean maximum they will provide support, but it depends on our skills.
Infrastructure: The campus life has been quite enjoyable due to the presence of friends and regularly held activities that provide me with a platform for public speaking and personality building. There exists a library full of different books available in different genres of education. Furthermore, many labs and seminar halls are present for interactive studies. My college holds various events like College Week where all major competitions like sports, dance, quizzes, debates, modeling, etc., take place extensively. There also exist many important clubs, and I’m myself enrolled as an NSS member to contribute towards the betterment of society.
Faculty: The faculty-to-student ratio is good and friendly. They are well-qualified teachers. I like every teacher because everyone is friendly with us, which helps us to learn more. I don’t dislike any teachers; everyone is good. There are 2 mid-exams and a semester exam for 6 months, but for every exam, we need to write the lab exam for every subject.

I love the behavior of the faculty members towards students.
Placements: I have completed two internship programs. In the final year of B.Tech, they will ask everyone to join at least one internship during graduation. Internships would help every individual to get corporate knowledge. I have completed my graduation and have attended off-campus interviews, where I managed to crack four jobs.
Infrastructure: Every year, the college organizes a Freshmen social for the new students who have been admitted here, and the program is very well organized. There is also a college week where all kinds of competitions like sports, dance, and singing take place. If we talk about the famous place of the college, it will be the college canteen because during off time, all the students go there and spend time. The locality is also safe at night if anyone goes for a walk. The college library timings are from 10 am. The college also has Boys' and Girls' Hostels.
Faculty: The faculty is good when it comes to syllabus completion. They will not cover the complete concepts, but the brief explanation is enough. Overall, the faculty is average, and I would suggest taking the IT department rather than non-IT. The other reason is that my college is very near to my hometown, which made me select this college.

Overall, top quality facilities are provided.
Placements: In this course, 80% of the students are placed. The average package was INR 3 LPA and the highest package was INR 11 LPA. In this course, the best companies are head Biodiversity, production officer (field crops), ECG technician, and Tech India Infoway Pvt Ltd. The top roles are botanist, plant biotechnologist, and ecologist.
Infrastructure: University has the best infrastructure. Our department has the best Wi-Fi quality, big classrooms and laboratory rooms available. The quality of hostel facilities is really good. Mess is available outside the college. Canteen facilities are good and at this university, all departments arrange sports together.
Faculty: This department's teachers provide knowledge and different types of ideas to help the students with their final year projects. Teachers teaching quality is really good. All teachers give notes in the student forum, and universities make students industry-ready. It must be a difficult semester exam at this university. Overall, this university pass percentage is excellent.

The college campus is large enough to accommodate students.
Placements: The student is eligible to sit for an on-campus interview only in their final semester. There are about 4 to 6 companies that come for placement. Recently, Sanofi pvt. Ltd. has approached for placement, but the results are not out yet. About 20% of students get placement every year. The average package offered is about INR 5 lacs, and till now, the highest is INR 20 lacs. I am in my final year of post-graduation, and I am planning to sit for placement when it is on campus.
Infrastructure: Yes, I live in the hostel here. The hostel fees are very cheap, at less than INR 1,500 per month. The facilities you get here are a table, a chair, a rack, and a bed. at the hostel. Even has a strong anti-ragging policy, making the junior feel safe. Also, I must see that the seniors here look after us like their brothers, and the hostel warden makes regular visits to the hostel. Wi-Fi facilities are also provided by the hostels. Water and electricity are available 24 hours a day in the hostel.
Faculty: I have done my bachelor's degree in biotechnology and thus opted for the same in my master's. There are six facilities in the department and 25 students. The faculty members are very friendly and understanding. Each one of the faculty members has completed their Ph.D. degree and is very well known in their respective areas of work. Their teaching method is also very good. A presentation is provided for easy understanding. There is a mid-semester exam of 20 marks and a final exam. The level of question set-up is quite hard, but if you have a clear concept, you can pass them with flying colours. Class size:-30 Course fees: INR 12500 per year.

Good university. Faculty is helpful.
Placements: 25% of our senior get placement. Some are working on projects. Almost 10% of students completed NET, GATE etc. They have future assurance to get placement. Still not all students get placement. So I rate this college below average. As a student I want placement rate should be 60-70%.
Infrastructure: Average. Campus is all good but the lab facilities of our department is average. Still we don't have excess for some instruments like electron microscope etc. Classroom and library are well-equipped Canteens are good. Medical facilities are their but not up to the mark.
Faculty: Good. The course is updated. Faculty are helpful and informative. They are highly qualified person. Teachings are digital or sometimes ordinary classes are also taken. Student to faculty ratio is 30 per teacher in our department. We get very less industry exposure.
Other: Campus sounding is very good. Provides scholarship and connectivity is also good.
