The application form is generally released by HBTU Kanpur in August month of the academic year. It shall be out in and around the release of CUET result. Moreover, the CUET 2025 application window is expected to be opened from Feb to Apr.

Candidates seeking admission in any of the offered courses of HBTU Kanpur need to fulfill the eligibility criteria. The basic eligibility for UG courses is Class 12 whereas, graduation is required for PG programmes. Below is the course-wise eligibility for HBTU:

Candidates who meet the course-specific eligibility requirements can apply for this course. Thus, the aspirants with a valid bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Architecture/Medicine/Sciences/Arts/Commerce/Business Administration/Computer Application or other disciplines as approved by with at least 55% aggregate (50% for SC/ST/PD) or a CPI of 6.0 (5.5 for SC/ST/PD) on a scale of 10 from any UGC/AICTE recognised institute/university are eligible. 

Candidates with 100 rank can easily take ademission to MCA coure under OBC AI category quota. The required cutoff for MCA course through NIMCET for OBC quota stood at 109 for the candidates belonging to All India quota.

The university prepares the cutoff list as per the applicants CUET scores. Hence, the HBTU cutoff is determined based on exam score along with total seat intake and number of seats for reserved categories. The university may release the cutoff list for each round of admission. It is released until all the seats are filled. If seats are left vacant after admission through CUET, then selection is done based on scores in the university entrance exam.

Harcourt Butler Technical University JEE Main cutoff was concluded after Round 6. As per the last round cutoff 2023, the minimum cutoff for HBTU BTech in CSE was 22059. The last round cutoff 2022 for HBTU BTech in CSE was 21190 for the General All India Category Students. Yes, Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU) offers a three-year BBA course. The UG-level programme is divided into six semesters. In addition, the mode of study is full-time. Admission to the programme is through CUET. The students without CUET score can also take admission by taking the university entrance examination. It is advisable to check eligibility requirements before proceeding with application formalities.
