Q:   What types of courses are offered at IIIT Bangalore?

International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore offers courses at UG, PG and doctoral levels in Engineering and Science streams. The institute offers BTech and Integrated BTech + MTech at the UG level and MSc and MTech at the PG level. Besides, the institute also offers diploma courses. Q:   What is the last date to apply for IIIT Bangalore?

Currently, the applications are closed for all the courses. International Institute of Information Technology usually releases the application form in March. The application deadline differs with the course. Aspirants have to apply online on the official website of the institute for admission. Candidates also need to pay an application fee of INR 1,000 to apply for a course at IIIT Bangalore.

IIIT Bangalore is a premier institute for its engineering and IT programs.
Placements: 100% of students are placed in my course. The highest package is 65 LPA, and average package is 36.2 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Nvidia, Qualcomm, Apple, Microsoft, etc. 100% of people also received internship offers. Placement wise IIITB is very good.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are the best here. We have labs for almost everything related to electronics. Library has books of every sort, from fiction to reference books. Hostel is very good. We are provided with 3 sharing rooms with ample space to keep a table, bed, and cupboard.
Faculty: Teachers here are very qualified with HOD of ECE department, a Ph.D. from University of Alabama and other teachers are alumni of reputed universities. Course curriculum is very relevant, and we are not taught any subject that is not needed and is always relevant to the industry. Exams get difficult as we progress with semesters, and we also grow with that. The pass percentage is very good, and almost no one fails the course.
Other: I chose this course because of expertise of the college in electronics field and placement data that is available. The best thing about this course is that we are not fed any irrelevant information and we focus on industry-relevant subjects only. I could probably make the course a little less hectic but other than that everything is best about the course. Main fest of the college is Infin8, and it goes for 3 days and happens in the month of April. Other fests such as Spandan and Umang also happen annually. We also have a spinoff of IPL, IIITB Premier League that happens twice a year. Seniors are really helpful and always available for any help. We are right in the center of city, and connectivity is best here.

Just few things about my college.
Placements: More than 90 percent of the students got internships and were placed and the average package is around 26 lacs. Some recruiters include NVIDIA, Qualcomm and many more. Few students were given the roles of basic engineers. And there is a lot of help provided to students during their placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good here. The classrooms are also very good and comfortable. The hostel rooms are of single occupation for girls and single to triple occupation for boys. The quality of the mess food is reasonable. And there is good encouragement for different kinds of sports here .
Faculty: The professors are very knowledgeable and professional here. They are highly qualified, with PhDs from top universities in their respective fields. And they are also very accessible if students want to talk to them. They help students as much as possible .

It is a good college if you focus on placement and academics.
Placements: Here, the placement record is 100% till 2024, and placements for 2025 are still ongoing. Top companies include Google, Amazon, D. E. Shaw, Uber, etc. The highest and lowest packages are 45 LPA and 12 LPA, respectively, with an average of 25 LPA. The majority of students are placed in Oracle, Wells Fargo, Google, and Qualcomm.
Infrastructure: Every facility is provided, and all sports facilities are available. Considering the 9-acre campus, there is no swimming pool or separate football and cricket ground. The ground is small. Academic-related facilities, like labs and others, are also provided. Hostel facilities are also decent.
Faculty: All faculty members are highly educated, and teachers are helpful. Exams are of moderate difficulty. Some exams seem very hectic, but all are manageable. Tutorial sessions are conducted and doubt-clearing is very efficient. Overall, academics are good here.

Placements: The placement season for our batch was highly successful. Approximately 90% of our students secured placements, which speaks volumes about the institute's ability to prepare its students for the industry. The highest package offered was an impressive 60 lacs per annum, while the lowest was around 10 lacs per annum. The average package stood at about 25 lacs per annum, showcasing the significant returns on the educational investment.
Infrastructure: Course and Department Infrastructure: Wi-Fi: The campus boasts a high-speed, reliable Wi-Fi network that covers the entire institute, including academic buildings, hostels, and common areas. This ensures seamless connectivity for research, assignments, and online resources. A good college if the student focuses on knowledge and education.
Placements: Almost all students were placed this year. The highest package was 65 LPA, and the lowest was around 22-24 LPA. The median and average package revolved around 35 LPA. Top recruiters were Qualcomm, Amazon, Cisco, Intel, Adobe. As part of summer internships, almost all were placed in different companies such as Jio, Cisco, Oracle. Top roles offered were Data Analyst, Software Developer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities are better than other colleges. Each floor and each room are well-equipped with Wi-Fi. Labs are well-managed and up-to-date with technology. Classrooms are better than usual classrooms, equipped with ACs and proper digital smartboards. The library is quite impressive as it holds a large number of books to choose from. The facilities in the hostel are very good. Proper maintenance and cleaning are done on a regular basis. The food in the mess are better than other colleges' food. The variety offered in the menu is great, and the taste is satisfactory. Medical facilities, sports, and other games go hand in hand.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified. Most of them have PhDs. They are helpful, interactive, and easily approachable. Teaching quality is good, but the curriculum is quite advanced and tough. The students are made industry-ready as they conclude their course because of the difficulty of the curriculum. The semester exams are difficult so that students can learn out of the hard questions. Despite being so hard, the teachers pass students. The pass percentage is 100.
Other: This course has a rigorous curriculum; hence it improves knowledge. The best thing about this course is the quality of the content they teach. The curriculum is highly updated and stands at par with modern knowledge. Events and fests are less. The college is focused more on academics; hence, fests happen rarely. The connectivity of the campus is good. It is in the heart of Electronic City; hence, traveling here and there is easy. Scholarships are offered in the college based on merit.

A wonderful college to turn my dreams into reality.
Placements: About 80 to 85% of students are registered. The highest package is around 60 LPA, and the average is around 21 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and many more companies. Top roles offered are data engineer, web developer, etc.
Infrastructure: The total campus is 9 acres of land with modern equipment and rooms made of good infrastructure. Coming to classrooms, they are comfortable for every batch of students. Library is well stocked with all kinds of books. Mess food is completely hygienic and consists of a variety of food items. Medical facilities are available 24X7. For sports, there is sufficient ground to play.
Faculty: Professors are very talented and experienced more than 15 to 20 years. Course curriculum is completely relevant to the course that we opted for. Labs will also be conducted to gain hands-on experience, which makes industry-ready. Coming to exams, they are of moderate level. The pass percentage will be more than 90%.

Q:   What is the eligibility criteria for IIIT Bangalore PG Diploma courses?
A: 

Candidates seeking admission to an IIITB PG Diploma course shall hold a valid Bachelor's or an equivalent degree in science/engineering/business administration/commerce/mathematics/computer applications or a Master’s degree in mathematics/statistics/commerce with at least 50% aggregate. Moreover, an aspirant should have passed the qualifying exam from a recognised university. The degree course mark sheets along with other documents have to be presented for verification purposes.

Q:   What is the selection process for B.Tech at IIIT Bangalore? What is the minimum JEE score required?
A: 

IIIT Bangalore admit candidates to its BTech programmes on the basis of JEE Main scores. The selection is entrance-based. Apart from this, students must meet the eligibility requirements as well. Candidates who are Class 12 pass with Mathematics as a subject are eligible to apply. 

Moreover, the last round closing rank for integrated MTech in CSE was 9545 and for integrated MTech in ECE was 13669. The mentioned cutoff rank is of 2023 for the general all-India category candidates. 

Q:   Can I get IIIT Bangalore with 150 score in MTech?
A: 

International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore accepts GATE scores, followed by the GATE Counselling process for admission to the MTech course. GATE COAP Round 1 cutyoff has been released for IIIT Bangalore. As per the cutoff list, CSE was the most competitive course with a closing rank of 591 for the General AII India category students. So, considering the latest cutoff data, candidates having a score of 150 can not get into IIIT Bangalore for M.Tech admission.

Q:   How are the hostels at IIIT Bangalore?

The hostels at IIIT Bangalore are well-furnished and have all the basic amenities, such as Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, and mess facilities. The hostels are also well-maintained and clean. The hostels are segregated based on gender. There are 10 hostels for men and 3 hostels for women. Each hostel has a capacity of around 200-300 students. The hostels are named after the different streams of engineering offered at IIIT Bangalore, such as Bhaskara Hostel - CSE, Visveswaraya Hostel - ECE, and Ramanujan Hostel  - Mathematics and Computing. The hostels have a number of common rooms, where students can relax and socialize. There are also a number of study rooms, where students can study in peace. The hostels also have a number of facilities for sports and recreation, such as a gym, a badminton court, and a table tennis room.
