Q:   How is CUET UG cut off calculated?
A:

The CUET UG cut off is determined by CUET participating universities seperately. Parameters on the basis of which CUET UG cut off is released are:

  • The number of seats offered by the participating universities through CUET UG
  • The difficulty level of the CUET exam
  • Overall performance of the test takers (pass percentage/ score range, etc.)

CUET cut off is based on the percentile of the candidate. To calculate the CUET percentile following formula is applied:

100*Number of candidates appeared in the session with a raw score is equal to or less than a candidate/ total number of candidates appeared for CUET UG.

Q:   How can I access the CUET UG cut off list?

The above steps will be applicable only if instittues release the CUET UG cut offs. Otherwise, if the institutes release merit lists carrying their scores, then the minimum score would be considered as the CUET UG cut off. Universities like Delhi University does not released CUET cut off. Candidates will know the college/course allocated on the basis of the preferences filled by the candidate while filling the application form.

The Highest Possible Preference will be provisionally allocated to a candidate considering the following criteria:

  • Program-Specific merit.
  • Category (UR/OBC-NCL/SC/ST/EWS/Minority).
  • Availability of seats.
  • Any other allocation rules, policies, or criteria as mentioned officially.

Candidates who do not have caste-supporting documents will not be eligible for admission to Delhi University colleges.

On the declaration of the DU CSAS allocation results, candidates must log in on the DU CSAS dashboard to accept the allocated seat. The provision for acceptance of a seat will be valid for the round in which the seat is allocated to the candidate. In case the candidate is offered multiple seats, he/she must select only ONE allocated seat. No action will be treated as a decline to the provisionally allocated seat and candidate will not be able to participate in the consequent rounds of DU CSAS UG.

Once the candidate accepts the provisionally allocated seat, the concerned college will verify the eligibility and the documents uploaded by the candidate. The college will verify the following details within the stipulated period:

  • Eligibility of the candidate
  • Program-specific eligibility criteria
  • Subject mapping: Only those CUETUG 2023 Language and/ or domain-specific papers in which the candidate has passed Class XII will be considered
  • The authenticity of documents and certificates uploaded.

Upgrade or Freeze

Before the announcement of CUET DU merit list, the university will open the ‘Upgrade’ window. Choosing the option 'Upgrade' will mean that the candidate consents to consideration of an offer of admission to a Program + College Combination of his/her higher preference in the subsequent round (if any). His/her current admitted seat will be auto-canceled if new preference/s is/are allocated. Also, candidates can re-order the program+college combinations.

A candidate who gets upgraded will have to Accept the upgraded seat and complete the admission procedures on the upgraded Allocated Seat/s. If a candidate does not do any activity on the upgraded seat/s, it will, by default, be considered canceled, and the candidate will be out of CSAS(UG)-2023.

A candidate who has accepted the allocated seat and takes admission must submit the ‘freeze’ request. On selecting ‘freeze’ the candidate will not be allowed for upgradation. If an admitted candidate neither opts for Upgradation nor Freeze and remains inactive in that round, the admission taken by him/her will be retained, and s(he) will not be considered for upgradation in any subsequent round/s.

DU Admission Through CUET: Spot Admissions

After the completion of regular CSAS rounds, If the seats are vacant, the authorities will announce the spot admission. Only candidates who applied for DU CSAS UG 2023 and are not admitted to any of the programs and colleges will be able to participate in spot admission.
