IIIT Delhi Admission FAQs
Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply by visiting IIIT Delhi official website. Admission to the MTech CSE, ECE, and CB is based on GATE score. For CB course, selected candidates have to go through an online interview round as well. Moreover, for the MTech CB DBT seats, aspirants are selected based on GAT-B exam scores followed by an interview round. Additionally, for MTech (Research) course admission, PGCAT-IIIT Delhi exam score is accepted following which candidates have to go through an offline interview round. For some of the seats, aspirants are selected on merit-basis.
IIIT Delhi PG Diploma admissions are ongoing for Data Science and Artifical Intelligence. Aspirants must submit the application within the due date. The admission dates are not available as of now. All the admission dates/deadlines are updated on the official website of the institute.
Candidates have to submit their educational certificates and identity proofs. Applicants shall have the documents copy and original. These are required by the authorities to verify the details provided by the candidates. The documents required during the application process are listed below:

In 2022, the cutoff ranks for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering at IIIT Delhi other than General category was - 11759 for OBC, 45090 for SC, 61386 for ST, and 5266 for EWS. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For the General category under All India, opening rank was 4554 and closing rank was 4659 in 2023. The cutoff in 2024 for the all-India quota ranged from 6695 to 9975. Cut off are differant when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. Admission to BTech in Computer Science and Biosciences in IIIT Delhi is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE. Yes, IIIT Delhi offers MTech across different specialisations. The two-year course is divided into four semesters. All the courses are credit-based programmes. Admission to the courses is entrance-based followed by an interview round. The accepted entrance examinations are GATE, PGCAT-IIITD, and GAT-B. IIITD offer MTech courses in the streams of Computer Science & Engineering, Computational Biology, and Electronics and Communications Engineering.
