STEP 1: IISc Bangalore Application Process 2026
The mode of application is online. Candidates need to pay an application fee of INR 800 for General and Sponsored candidates from the government and PSU/OBC/EWS. Further, ERP candidates (all categories) and SC / ST / PwD application fees are INR 2,000 and INR 400, respectively to register for a programme.

For Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programme, aspirants are offered admission based on JEE Main score. Hoewever, for BSc programme admission, JEE is not compulsory. The difficulty level of CEED exam has been maintained by authorities over the years. However, most design aspirants share that if difficulty level of all design entrance exams conducted for PG level courses is compared then CEED is slightly easier than NID Entrance Exam. This is primarily because the drawing questions asked in NID that are considered to be tougher than those put forth in CEED exam. Note that CEED exam is for admission to the M.Des courses offered by the eight participating colleges. Meanwhile, the NID that for the M.Des programme has three participating colleges.
GATE 2026 admit card is now available for download on its official website - gate2026.iitg.ac.in. Candidates appearing for GATE this year must download their hall ticket to appear for exam. To download admit card, candidates have to provide their enrollment ID and password at GOAPS portal.
The IISc Bangalore cutoff 2025 for the M.Tech courses at the postgraduate level has been released for Round 1. The IISc Bangalore cutoff 2025 ranged between 400 and 690 for general AI students. Among all the MTech courses, M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (CFTI) is the most competitive for admission.
