IISc Bangalore Course Admissions 2026: Entrance Exam, Eligibility, Application Process

The difficulty level of CEED exam has been maintained by authorities over the years. However, most design aspirants share that if difficulty level of all design entrance exams conducted for PG level courses is compared then CEED is slightly easier than NID Entrance Exam. This is primarily because the drawing questions asked in NID that are considered to be tougher than those put forth in CEED exam. Note that CEED exam is for admission to the M.Des courses offered by the eight participating colleges. Meanwhile, the NID that for the M.Des programme has three participating colleges.

IISER is a compulsory entrance test to get into the IISER Pune. IISER 2026 entrance exam will be conducted in computer-based test mode. The duration of the entrance exam is three hours, from 9 AM to 12 noon.

Candidates seeking admission to IISc Bangalore can apply online on the IISc Admissions Portal, i.e., official website. Click the ‘Apply Now’ tab under the M.Tech course name and reach the registration page. Click on ‘New user Registration/ Login’ then select the programme and again click on ‘New user to register click here’. Applicants must use their email IDs to register (email ID cannot be changed later) preferably gmail. After registration, a verification email is sent to the registered email account, by confirming the email one can start filling out the online application. The application fee is non-refundable and can be paid online via debit card, credit card or net banking.

Candidates who want to takeM.Techadmissions should have scored a minimum of 50-70 % aggregate in graduation. Also, the candidates should also have cleared the GATE exam for IISc admission. The application process is online. The application fee for the General / OBC / EWS (economically weaker section) categories is INR 800 whereas the application fee for SC / ST category is INR 400. The university does not charge any extra application fee as per course requirement. The charges are will be same across all the courses. Candidates can check the list of application fee from the points mentioned below:

IISER Aptitude Test was introduced as a new mode of entry for IISC BSc admissions for the Academic Year 2023-24. Candidates seeking admission through IAT must apply separately at both the IISc Bangalore admission portal and IISER admissions 2023 portal. Going as per IISC Bangalore cutoff 2023, candidates belonging to General category must apply have an overall score of 17 in order to be eligible for further round of admissions. IISc Bangalore GATE cutoff 2025 has been concluded for M.Tech specialisations. The cutoff scores closed between 400 and 690, for the General AI category candidates. Therefore, for the General AI category candidates, it is possible to get admission to a few specialisations. Some of the top specialisations available at 500 score are M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering, M.Tech. in Earth and Climate Sciences and M.Tech. in Smart Manufacturing.  

IISc Bangalore cutoff 2024 was concluded with the release last round of JEE Main entrance exam results. The cutoff was released for admission to B.Sc. (Research) in Physics, for which the last round closing rank of 903. For the OBC AI category candidates, the cutoff rank in the last round was 1665. JEE Main Admit Card Session 1, 2024 has been released. NTA has released the JEE Mains 2024 admit card online on the official website. Candidates have to login to the website using their application number and date of birth for JEE Mains 2024 admit card download session. Admit card will have details about the JEE Main 2024 exam date session 1, address of the exam centre, timing of the paper and exam day instructions. Candidates have to carry a printout of their JEE Mains admit card 2024 to the exam centre. 

Indian Institute of Science Bangalore cutoffs for BSc and BTech courses are based on various national-level exams. GATE 2026 admit card is now available for download on its official website - gate2026.iitg.ac.in. Candidates appearing for GATE this year must download their hall ticket to appear for exam. To download admit card, candidates have to provide their enrollment ID and password at GOAPS portal.
