For admission to the MBA at SJMSOM, the CAT test was conducted on November 30, 2025. Aspirants of SJMSOM are required to appear for the exam in Computer Based Testing mode at the allotted test centres. CAT exam 2025 is generally held in three slots:

• Morning slot: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM
• Afternoon slot: 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM
• Evening slot: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM

For 2022, cut off was 61 for General category candidates in All India quota for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering in IIT Bombay - Indian Institute of Technology. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 305 was the closing rank. B.Tech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

The institute offers Merit-cum-Means Scholarship to a maximum of 25% of the sanctioned intake of UG and MSc students. Facilities of Free Messing is also available to SC/ ST students under which they get an exemption from paying the tuition fees. Yes, GATE score is required to get admission to IIT Bombay course. However, aspirants who have not qualified GATE can also get admission based on written test conducted by the institute. The shortlisted candidates are further called for a personal interview round. In order to be eligible to apply for the course, an aspirant must have a BE/ BTech/ BSc/ Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Planning/ MSc/ MCA/ MBBS/ MPharm/ BPharm/ BDS/ degree recognised equivalent to BE/ BTech with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate for SC/ ST/ PwD category) earned through Associate Membership Examinations conducted by recognised professional bodies to apply for MTech course.

Candidates aiming for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) need to meet these cutoff marks in JEE Mains to be eligible for JEE Advanced 2026.

IIT Bombay admission to all the courses is entrance-based (Except for EMBA, where admission is merit-based and performance in the interview round).
