The college provides a vibrant intellectual atmosphere for learning.

Placements: IIT Delhi telecom department provides 100% placements for all students appearing for the recruitment activities. Many students choose to go for a PhD in interested departments and other fields. The average salary package offered in 2019 was 17 LPA. The highest salary package offered was 25 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 12 LPA. The top recruiters from the campus were Intel, Enphase Energy, Havells, Mediatek, Delta electronics etc. Students can also choose to apply for an internship in this programme to get industry exposure.

Infrastructure: The entire campus is enabled with fast speed internet. Classrooms are equipped with all new and modern facilities. Labs are highly specialised in various ways. There are many labs for this department like telecom software lab, telecom networks lab, wireless research lab, internet of things lab etc. The college building is located in the middle of the city, where many spots are available to hang out. The hostel rooms are not up to the mark. The food served in the mess is okay but not great. Medical support is always available on the campus. The infrastructure for sports and games is on par with the standards of quality.

Faculty: Faculty members in our college are highly qualified, some with teaching experience of more than 15 years. Teachers are supportive in academic and also with doubt queries. Teaching quality is engaging with deep learning, and faculty members provide good learning content to get interested. This course curriculum is helpful as by applying to this course, students can choose a software or hardware stream.

Other: The basic motive to choose this course was because this course offers wide electives to pursue from various departments like computer science, electrical engineering and management. The course curriculum is tedious and rigorous, with ample learning. The only drawback is that you don't get enough time for yourself. There are only term breaks, which are very less.

BEST IIT to Pursue TELECOM.

Placements: Since I am pursuing M.Tech In joint telecom management, I can only talk about my stream. The total number of students appearing for placement week is more than 30. Statistically, more than 90% of the student gets placed in big companies. Some of the major recruiting companies are Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, Cisco Systems, Dell, Intel, Cognizant, MediaTek, Airtel etc. The average package for this branch is 17 LPA. While the highest is being 25 LPA and the lowest was 12 LPA. In selections, criteria 70% of the students were hired as a hardware engineer and 15% were a software developer and 15% were R&D software.

Infrastructure: The campus has a High-speed Wi-Fi facility. The lab facilitates students in electronic systems development and enables them to learn and implement various languages and software development tools such as C, C+, OOP, Python, Tcl/TK etc. The lab has computer systems for every individual. Telecom networks lab facilitates students in the development, simulation and testing of networking problems using tools such as LabVIEW, RTOS, CommSim, Wireshark, ISDN simulator, NS2, etc. It also has many other labs for the research work like Wireless research laboratory, Internet of things laboratory. The library is very modernized with E-library as an option to choose.

Faculty: The newly revised curriculum provides the students' opportunities to specialize in various topics through the choice of streamlined electives. Students benefit from courses in cognate departments. The teachers are highly qualified with enriching experience in various fields of work. The course structure if rigorous with less time to relax and more time to work.
