An outstanding course for higher studies.

Placements: Placements generally don’t happen after a Bachelor’s degree. But after a Master’s, several companies come during the final semester. The average placement package lies in the range of 4–6 LPA. Generally, students are recruited into the R&D department. The highest package has even gone up to 12 LPA.

Infrastructure: The classrooms and, most importantly, the labs are well-equipped. Wi-Fi is available all over the campus. There is a huge collection of all types of books in both the central and departmental libraries. Hostels are also at their very best. The hostel charge is actually very nominal.

Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified. They provide valuable insights into the subject in both theory and practical classes. The course structure is well-established and relevant for higher studies. Semester exams are easy to moderate, I would say. The passing percentage is quite high.

Satisfied with the faculty.

Placements: Our college aims to provide 100 percent placement for students. The highest package offered in our course was of 12 lpa. And the average package was 7 lakhs. Top recruiter in our course was reliance , Godrej, Exide , petroleum companies. The students in our course got internships in many reputed companies like ONGC and many petroleum companies. Top roles offered in our course includes researcher, professor,lab assistant, and chemist.

Infrastructure: There are WiFi, computer labs and well equipped chemistry labs available for students. There are two libraries one only reserved for just chemistry related that is known as the departmental library and the other is the central library student can access both. The hostel boarding fee here is very less with clean washrooms and beds . Our university has a health centre which has well qualified doctors. Our university also organises many sports events for admission in the University sportsteams .

Faculty: Here we have a large number of highly educated professors in our faculty who are very generous, humble and helpful. They are very encouraging and friendly towards students students can literally approach them regarding any questions or doubts and they humbly guide them. The best faculty members are Mr Samaresh bhattacharjee, Pradip Kumar mahapatra, and Mr Arunabha Thakur I like them because of their humble nature their ability to explain the complex topics very smoothly and efficiently. There are two semester examinations each year and the total course duration is of 4 years so there will be 8 semester examination which are very easy for the students who attend the classes regularly and much difficult for them who are irregular. The students who fail to pass the exams are almost nil. Our course curriculum is very much efficient and relevant in the modern sectors .

Other: I choose the course because it is versatile we have many options ready for us in the future. The best things about our course is the diversity of subjects that we get to learn. The annual festival in our college is sanskriti which is held mostly in the month of April. The three faculties science,arts and engineering organize three sanskriti programmes . The books in the library can be borrowed for a specific period of time and one can also read them in the library there are many relevant books that are required and also the availability of both departmental and central library help the students to have a wider range and also decrease crowding. The computer labs are very well equipped with the latest technologies and programming languages. The classrooms are also very large, properly air conditioned and there is also the availability of projector and mic system. The sports are organised by respective departments during the freshers party, reunions and sanskriti festivals. Due to the availability of students union the general students can put forward their grievances and wants to the authorities very smoothly and also there are a number of social clubs.

Review of Jadavpur University.

Placements: I passed B.Sc in chemistry course in 2019 from Jadavpur University. During my tenure, there was a total of 700 students in this course. Top recruiting companies for this course are IFFCO, TATA Chemicals and many more. About 54% of the students got internships in IFFCO, while about 36% of the students got internships in Tata company.

Infrastructure: There was a very good Wi-Fi system for our course. There were three classrooms and four labs in our college, where we used to do our various experiments. In addition to that, the library was allocated. We get food in our hostel, and there were sports and various equipment, which we used regularly.

Faculty: Our university had one of the most qualified teachers in India. They have always treated us like friends and tried to teach us well. This course is practical-oriented as well as relevant. This course certainly prepares students for art in a very good way.

Other: I chose this course because I wanted to be a great chemist.

Satisfied with the faculty, moderately good infrastructure. In 2017, the placements are bad.

Placements: This institution gives me a lot and learns to me how can I did excellent scores as well as to be a good man also. Most of the students from our chemistry department got a valuable job like at Haldia Petro Chemical Limited, Infotech, teaching at central board school, state government school, etc., and most of the students worked already on state government research.

Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi facility is available at our chemistry laboratory, which helped us to solve many questions and also help to find some artificial data, which are not available in books. Our laboratory is look like modern and easily to use every matter that what I want. Our classrooms are not bad but not modified. We have large reading room at a library, which is covered by the air-conditioner. Sports faculty at our college is excellent. They participate in an inter-college competition, and many times they have won.

Faculty: Firstly, it should be noted that a teacher should behave like a friend, which makes a great interaction between students and teacher. our teachers behaved like what I want to say it. Most of the teachers are PhD holder, and some teachers are post-doc holders with PhD.

Other: Our college organises Nabin Boron fest, in which, the best cultural activities are conducted for the newbies. The most famous event is the social fest in which we enjoy a lot with our friends.

Jadavpur University is a place, which is deserved by all and reached by a few.

Placements: 2-3 companies including Asian Paints and Sun Pharma had come to offer job opportunities, and more than 25 students among 36 got selected. There is an active placement cell that arranges for all streams of science. The average salary offered is 2.6 lac/year. The professors are helpful and help the students to find their desired position in the industrial sector.

Infrastructure: Gallery type classrooms, departmental and central Library offering five book cards with an advanced digital library for downloading books, accessing journals, etc., are free of cost are available on the campus. The central library also offers books to ex-students for the next two years. Well-planned and clean laboratory with almost all chemicals available with satisfactory safety precautions. Both indoor and outdoor games are organised throughout the year. Overall, there are 7 hostels for both boys and girls. Large rooms with four beds and comparatively smaller for a two-bed facility with free broadband connection for each student in hostels are available. Both tasty vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals in the hostel are prepared by experienced cooks with meal charge around Rs. 1,500 per month depending on situations. Good medical support staff and an ambulance for 24*7 are always ready for the students. There are four commercial canteens on the campus.

Faculty: All the professors are highly qualified as they are PhD holders with accreditation worldwide. They have a profound knowledge of practical skills and sound methodology for classes. The course is large like other universities but semester system in 6 months help the students complete it with lesser pressure. But still, it is on students how he will prepare for exams as questions are not easy to handle. The student to faculty ratio is 10:1 for UG courses. Detailed syllabus is enough for cracking JAM, NET, or GATE in future.

Other: Silent campus, flowering gardens, transparent ponds with lotus give you the feeling like "yes, that I wanted". A photographic club, mountaineering group, science club, drama and art association are a part of student life. Jadavpur railway station is just 2 minutes walk from campus, and 8B bus stand is beside JU. DST-INSPIRE, Swami Vivekananda merit means are most of the scholarships and alumni association and chemistry department. They provide scholarships for financially weak students with merit.

A great place full of life and activities

Placements: Science faculty at Jadavpur University doesn't have campus placements in Bachelors. No culture of field projects or internships as well. Students mostly pursue a masters degree after the bachelors there or opt for bank jobs via competitive exams on their own.

Infrastructure: Classrooms were spacious, old-school architecture. Labs were updated with chemicals but not completely digitised. Medical facilities were sufficient. The library was central and departmental. The central library was huge and departmental libraries were well-stocked. Great culture of games and other extracurricular in the university as a whole. Hostel rooms were average. Canteens were 7-8 and provided a wide price as well as menu range. No infrastructural issues.

Faculty: Faculty members were senior, well-versed and helpful. No industry exposure. Basic classroom teaching methods and lab-based practicals were conducted. The course curriculum was useful but needs a little more incorporation of new developments in science. Labs were extensive and gave a lot of basic ideas.

An affordable and top rated University

Placements: Top students got the opportunity to join Byju's other companies this year. But most of the students opt for higher studies as it increases their knowledge and raises the chances of getting recruited. I am very proud to be a part of this college this year.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good though some places need improvements. New buildings will get functional soon. There are two canteens and one big playground on the campus. Also, there is a green zone and a lake in the vicinity. The hostel is of good quality but the capacity of accommodation is less. Not all students get a chance to board in the hostel.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and thoughtful. They teach well and provide notes too. They come to class on time and take the full classes and also ask if we have any questions or doubts about the topic. The pass percentage is almost 100% and a lot of students come out with high scores.

It is the best college because every teacher is helpful.

Placements: Almost 78% of students get placed in our course. The highest salary package offered is 7 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. This course is important. The highest salary offered in our course is Rs. 65,000 per month and the lowest salary offered in our course is Rs. 35,000 per month. There are no internships offered this year. Chemical engineering course is in the top place of placements.

Infrastructure: There is a Wi-Fi facility available in our department. There are good labs. There are clean and modern classrooms, and there is a library which is helpful to students. The hostel quality is excellent. There is good and fresh canteen food available in our college, and there are medical facilities available in the college. There are sports like football and cricket available in the college.

Faculty: Every teacher in our college is helpful and good. Faculty here are knowledgeable. Our every teacher teaching quality is good. The course makes students industry-ready. This course curriculum is relevant.

Other: Our course is the best thing and l like this subject. This course helps to improve my skills.
