No, CUET syllabus is not based on CBSE syllabus as claimed by Education Ministry in Rajya Sabha. The CUET exam is designed to assess the general understandig of the candidate in subjects he/she has opted for. JMI offers BSc and BSc (Hons) programmes of three-year duration at the UG level. The admission process for these programmes is conducted through an entrance test, conducted by Jamia Millia Islamia or CUET.

National Testing Agency (NTA) does not release the CUET UG cutoff. Once the CUET results are declared, the socres are shared with the participating universities and role of NTA ends with the declaration of results. Step 1: Visit the website for registration and admission for the CUET-based courses at NTA website and appear for the exam. 

Step 2: Fill online admission form for JMI and enter the CUET application number.

Jamia Milia Islamia released its online prospectus on Feb 20. As per its prospectus, the application deadline was Mar 30 for the application form of the test conducted by the university. Moreover, the application form window for editing was opened from Apr 4 to Apr 10.

The JMI application form admission through other exams (JEE/NATA/CUET) was released on Feb 20. Students can submit their application till 10 days after the result declaration by the respective agencies. Additionally, the application window remains open till six days from the last date of application form filling.

Selected candidates are advised to complete their admission formalities when the schedule is released. Students are required to bring their Admit Card issued for the Entrance Test and attested copies of the following documents, along with the originals, at the time of admission.

Jamia Millia Islamia offers admission to a total of four BSc/ BSc (Hons) courses via CUET UG. As per the CUET UG website, students seeking admission to BSc at Jamia Millia must appear for and qualify CUET exam. However, since some universities are also considering other components while giving admission to CUET-UG based courses, it could be a possibility of getting into JMI without CUET.
