CU, my first steps to success.

Placements: The college provides comparatively good placement. Among the students in the class, 30 percent of the students have been placed. The minimum package for this course offered was 2.5 Lacs per annum and the highest package was 7 Lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies like Amazon, Wipro, IBM, EY, etc.

Infrastructure: The college provides good infrastructure that is beneficial for the students' education. The college offers good lab facilities and free Wi-Fi connection for all the students. The hostel facilities are also good, but they could have improved the food quality.

Faculty: The course curriculum is well-organized. The teachers are also good and help us to improve our technical skills. The course curriculum provides a first step for our professional career. The exams are conducted semester-wise and are also done at a standard level. Despite that, our college has an excellent 80 percent pass percentage.

Other: I am from the second batch of M.Sc. Data Science at Chandigarh University. There is a growing need for data scientists in the field of IT, so our course provides a stepping stone for me in this field. They could have taught us more about the Python language. There are many events taking place in the college.

Overall, a good college for M.Sc. Data Science students. Good placement and good infrastructure.

Placements: Less number of students got placed due to a Masters degree but those who were placed got a median package of 10–15 LPA. The top recruiters are Amazon, Deloitte, etc. Many students get PPOs and internships in the last year of the course. The top roles are data scientists.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is overall very good. Labs and classrooms are well maintained and clean. There is a separate library in every building of the university. Hostels are very good at providing a good environment. Hostel food is eatable; sometimes it is good, sometimes it is bad but we can tell it is average. Medical facilities are also provided to students on the university campus.

Faculty: Faculty members are well qualified; we can say they have a Ph.D. degree. They are very cooperative with the students. The teaching quality is also good. The course curriculum is the same as at other colleges. Semester exams are above-average and sometimes tough. The university has a relative marking policy.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of placements and faculty.

Placements: Just 20% of the students get placed through campus. The companies visiting the campus for M.Sc. Data Science do not even offer jobs in core field like data analyst or data engineer. The average package overall ranges from 4 LPA to 6 LPA and the top recruiting companies include some IT companies of Mohali and multi national corporations like TCS, Cognizant, Wipro and Infosys. Internships are rarely offered by the college. The top roles include data scientist and data analyst. The preference in placement is given to MCA and B.Tech students so it is better to pursue those courses with data Science or related areas as specialisation.

Infrastructure: The labs and classrooms in the campus for the course are well furnished with all the necessary facilities and also enable smart learning. The Wi-Fi is provided in the library but is rarely present throughout the campus and academic block. The hostels are well designed and the mess food is very good as compared to the typical hostel food. Medical and sports facilities are also provided to the students.

Faculty: The teachers are not very well-versed about the subjects and concepts. The teaching quality is also not recommendable. The course curriculum tries to cover everything which fails to cover quality of the content and does not focuses on industrial growth. The students need to prepare themselves to get industry ready. However, the semester exams are easy to pass with pass percentage of 95% approximately.

Other: The course is gaining value with time and this is the main reason for why many students choose to pursue it. The campus crowd allows you to interact with people from all over the continent with varied interests. The events and fests conducted in the college are fun to participate. College gives special attention to extracurricular activities. Scholarship is provided on the semester fee provided that students maintain the minimum criteria of securing 7.5 CGPA.

Placements are overhyped.

Placements: Placements are not that good as hyped and they focus more on University branding rather than students. Students are forced to publish a reaserch paper instead of any projects inspite of being in technical background and they won't give ur degree if u have not got your research paper published.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is really good, there is every facility in the campus, libraries are good, hostels are good, classrooms are also good. Faculties are young and helpful in nature bt most of the faculty teach subjects out of their own stream so it lacks quality.

Faculty: Exams are conducted very fair and very strictly, they are very strict regarding to attendance and discipline. Faculties are good in nature helpful bt there are only few senior faculties. Many teachers are themselves students therefore lacking experience.

Satisfied with my college I suggest students to be a part of the Chandigarh University.

Placements: 50% of students are placed. The average package is 6 LPA. Top 90% of students get internships. Top role offered is data analyst. Students also get placed in some other roles like product analyst, data scientist, data engineer, and machine learning engineer also.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available, labs with AC, and well classrooms are available. There is a separate sports complex for students and also those who are interested in sports. University provides them with good equipments.

Faculty: Teachers are well educated and helpful to students. Wherever students are stuck there will be a teacher always available. Whenever we reach a teacher, he is there for us. My course makes me industry-ready. Exams are not that much difficult but we have to study hard. Teaching staff is also very helpful. Every teacher helps us in our studies and in different co-curricular activities.

Other: I love this course that's why. The syllabus should be more in the course. Regular events happened in college.
