There is NO change in JEE Main Syllabus 2026. NTA made changes in syllabus in 2024 by removing many topics from Chemistry (6 units completely removed) and around 20 topics removed from 5 other units. In Physics, Communication Systems units have been completely removed while many topics have been removed from 15 units. Mathematical Induction and Mathematical Reasoning units have been removed from the Mathematics syllabus. New topics have been added only in Physics. JEE Mains Reduced Syllabus 2026: NTA has released the JEE Mains 2026 Syllabus PDF. NO changes have been made to the syllabus this year. However, many changes were introduced in the JEE Main Syllabus 2024 by the NTA. As per the new syllabus of JEE Mains, several topics have been removed from all three subjects- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Also, a few new topics have been added in Physics for JEE Main 2024. Candidates can check here deleted syllabus of JEE Main 2024. Also, all the topics removed and added from the reduced syllabus of JEE Mains 2024 are given here. The link for the JEE Main reduced syllabus PDF download is available here and also on the JEE Mains 2024 syllabus NTA official website. NTA will prepare the question paper based on the JEE Mains Reduced syllabus 2024 NTA pdf. Candidates must note that there has been no change in the JEE Main exam pattern 2024. Changes have been made only in the NTA JEE Mains Syllabus.

Q:   Is JEE Main syllabus tough?
A:

JEE Main syllabus is based on class 11 and 12 Physics, Chemistry and Maths topics. If you have focused while studying, then it will be easy to prepare for the exam otherwise, you may find it difficult. NCERT textbook is the best for Chemistry and Physics. You can also refer to other books for exam preparation. There are many preparation books suggested by the toppers of Joint Entrance Examination Main.

Q:   In how much time can I complete the entire JEE Main syllabus?
A:

Time required to cover JEE Main syllabus changes from one student to another student. In general, to complete the entire JEE Main syllabus, students would require around 1 year. The ideal time to start preparing for JEE Main is class 11 as the syllabus for JEE and class 11-12 is similar. Students who are studying in class 11 can point out the topics that are common in both and pay special emphasis to those topics.

Q:   Is JEE Main syllabus same for B.Tech, B.Arch and Plan?
A:
The syllabus for JEE Main Paper 1 (BE/B.Tech), Paper 2A B.Arch and Paper 2B B. Plan is different. JEE Main paper 1 exam is conducted for admission to BE/B.Tech, Paper 2A for B.Arch and Paper 2B is conducted for B. Plan courses. JEE Main paper 1 syllabus consists of Physics Chemistry and Mathematics. Paper 2A syllabus has Mathematics, General Aptitude and Drawing while Paper 2B syllabus has Mathematics, General Aptitude and Planning. Candidates must note that Mathematics syllabus is common/same in all three papers.

Q:   Can I complete JEE Main syllabus in 6 months?
A:

JEE Mains syllabus can be completed in 6 months considering that almost every topic of JEE syllabus is similar to class 11 and 12 syllabus. However, completing the syllabus does not mean that candidates will get a good score. JEE Main exam tests your conceptual and analytical understanding of topics. To get a good score, you need to have good understanding of core concepts and also use to of applying them in solving numerical questions.

JEE Main is conducted for multiple courses and the syllabus is different for each course.
