KGMU accepts admission to most of the Medical courses through a valid score in NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test). The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is the sole entrance test for admission to the BDS and MBBS programmes in India. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), conducts NEET UG counselling across various rounds and categories. The NEET SS application fee is INR 3,500. The fee is same for candidates belonging to each category. This is the application fee for each group. Hence, candidates planning to apply for two groups will have to pay INR 7,000 (3,500 + 3,500). The fee has to be paid in online mode, via credit/debit card or net banking. NBE states, "Applications forms once submitted cannot be withdrawn. Fee shall neither be carried forward to a future date nor refunded under any circumstances. Application once submitted cannot be withdrawn. Any claim for refund, adjustment or carrying forward of Application fee will not be entertained. Examination fees in respect of candidates who are absent or have been declared ineligible due to any reason will be forfeited." As compared to last year, the fee has been reduced. Last year, the fee amount was INR 4,250 for each group. 

KGMU BSc seats allotment is based on their performance of candidates in the UP CNET exam. Various affiliated institutes of King George's Medical University offers the BSc programme and the total seat intake for the BSc programme across both the Nursing and Radiotherapy specialisations is 190.

Yes, candidates can get admission into the KGMU MBBS course with 60% scores in Classes 10 and 12. The basic scores that the university requires to consider candidates to be eligible must score at least at least an aggregate of 50%. Additionally, the candidates must have completed their higher senior secondary in the Science stream, including Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology as main subjects. 

Candidates who qualify the selection process for various UG & PG courses at KGMU are offered admission. After the commencement of the counselling process, the selected candidates are required to pay fee for the respective courses to confirm their seats.

For admission to a three-year MD course at KGMU, there is basic eligibility criteria as per NBE norms. Admissions to this course is based on NEET PG scores. To appear for this entrance exam and admission to MD is offered to those who hold MD degree from a university recognised by Medical Council of India with minimum 55% aggregate in the case of General & OBC categories. There is a relaxation of five percent for SC/ ST category candidates. The reserved category candidates are required to obtain 50% aggregate in the last qualifying exam of MD. 

For last year, the closing rank for Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) was 25581 which is very close to this range. This was for the General category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission to KGMU - King George's Medical University.

The cutoff trend for medical Courses at KGMU - King George's Medical University has been decreasing in recent years. In 2021, the closing rank for medical courses under the General category for all India quota was 767224. In 2022, it decreased to 25581. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 845560 to 31682 for OBC, 900889 to 120239 for SC, 767224 to 24859 for EWS, 767224 to 23381 for PWD. KGMU grants admission to various UG and PG courses on the basis of various exams. For MD and MS specialisations, the cutoff is released on the basis of NEET PG. For MBBS and BDS admission, the cutoff is released on the basis of performance in the NEET and UP NEET exams. For MDS, NEET MDS is accepted and for MD/MDS, UP NEET PG is accepted. For PG (3-year) Medical courses, the median package was constant in 2021 and 2022, however in 2023 it increased by almost 15%. The opening and closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For the General category under All India, the opening rank was 20731 and the closing rank was 25581. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. Admission to Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) at KGMU - King George's Medical University is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam NEET.
