Students should pass any of the national level entrance exams such as UCEED, NID Entrance Exam, NIFT Entrance Exam or CUET score. Those who have not qualified or appeared for any of the above entrance exams, should appear for LPUNEST. LPU conducts the National Entrance and Scholarship Test for admission to several courses. LPUNEST is computer based test of 150 minutes. The test comprises 125 questions of 500 marks. 

LPU admission to BDes course is based on entrance exam. The university accepts UCEED, NID Entrance Exam, CUET UG or NIFT Entrance Exam. Aspirants who have not appeared for any of the national-level entrance exam can appear for LPUNEST conducted by the university. The university will also consider the academic performance of the candidates for final selection. For lateral entry, the admission will be based on merit in the last qualifying exam. Once the selection rounds are completed, shortlisted candidates for BDes are further called for a document verification round. Aspirants need to confirm their seats by paying the BDes course fee.

LPUNEST exam fee is Rs 1000 for males and Rs 500 for females. The printed LPUNEST Kit fee is Rs 1,500 for boys and Rs 1000 for girls. LPU admission application process is mentioned below:

The fee for LPU BDes is INR 9.60 Lacs for four-years. The fee is calculated based on the semester fee. Candidates after completion of the selection round, have to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the university. The semester fee for BDes is INR 1.20 lakh. Apart from course fee, aspirants also have to pay a registration fee in the start for admission. 

LPU NEST 2026 exam schedule for phase 1 is from January 20 to February 5, 2026, for the test centre-based exam. If seats remain empty after the present round, more admission rounds will be conducted. Next round admission dates will be announced on the official website.
