Placement and faculty members are the best in this college.
Placements: Students are eligible for interviews from the third year. Recruiting companies are Amazon, Accenture, and TCS. The highest package offered is 60 LPA. The average package is 5 LPA. All students get placed after the end of the degree.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is well planned. All types of facilities are provided by the college. Classrooms are fully furnished and have a smart board. The library has many types of books, novels, journals, etc. Students can borrow these items from the library for study.
Faculty: Best faculty members are present in our college. Their guidance to the students as academic help is top-notch. All important topics are taught in class. Their teaching skills are easily understandable. The student-to-teacher ratio is acceptable. Exam question toughness is moderate, most of the students passed the exam.

Overall truth about GCECT.
Placements: Very few companies come to our college for the placements of the IT and CSE batch, but the CT department got 100 percent placement. IT and CSE students got placements mostly from off-campus. The highest package is 15 LPA. The minimum is 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. This college has playgrounds and a big auditorium which can accommodate around 200-250 people. Classrooms consist of good benches and projectors, including 5-10 AC classrooms. The lab is also well maintained and Wi-Fi is available.
Faculty: Faculty is really good and helpful. Each subject has 2-3 faculty members. They divide the chapters for teaching and this college is autonomous and the papers are checked by the college teachers only. The difficulty of the exam is at a medium level whereas a few of the subjects are really hard, and the teachers are really strict.

Absolutely dissatisfied with the faculty members and placement.
Placements: Only 30 percent of students were placed. And all the placements were in marketing only 1 or 2 percent got the chance in finance. At the time of admission they said that Big 4 came to their college, but they didn't come. For placement, only 10 percent of students got placement from the college.
Infrastructure: The amount was so high, but the facilities were very low. The canteen food was very poor. You can't eat that on a daily basis. The private PG was a much better option than this. It's also not so close to the college. I will never recommend the college hostel.
Faculty: Faculty members were not good they did favouritism. Some teachers were also not good in their core subject. They just provided the printed notes. They couldn't help you prepare for the placement or interview. The mentor was also not good enough.

The worst infrastructure and long distance from the city.
Placements: The college is trying its best to push its placements. They have started providing soft skills classes from 2nd year onwards. A company called InternValley had acquired many students last year. They had good placements from companies like Cognizant, TCS, and Wipro.
Infrastructure: The college is only CSE and ECE-centric, so most of the teachers teach according to the course. The college doesn't provide any hostel. There is Wi-Fi facility available, but it is too slow. Classrooms are old-style classrooms. The library contains good books, and the office staff is rude too. They have good AC labs but don't have AC in classrooms.
Faculty: Teaching style is perfect but at the end of the college comes under MAKAUT, so your back and low CGPA is confirmed. I have rated 4 stars for faculty. The curriculum was designed by MAKAUT so the college doesn't play any role.
Other: I want to become an AI engineer in the future. Due to budget, I chose this college because it conducts some fests. The actual problem is the college location you will not get direct buses from Kolkata's posh areas. .

B.Tech. in Information Technology - Batch of 2026
Offered by NIT - Narula Institute of Technology
3.4
3.0Placements3.0Infrastructure4.0Faculty3.0Crowd & Campus Life4.0Value for Money
Narula Institute of Technology is better than other options.
Placements: Actually, the placement deserves 2 stars. But I've given 3 stars because it's better than most private colleges in Kolkata in the last few years. I also got placed at the college itself. The average package is 4 LPA. I think about 50–60% of students were placed. The highest package must be 9 LPA, that too from TCS. The lowest went down to 3 LPA. Juspay is the only big company that came, but this year they took 0 students. Other mass recruiters are Cognizant, LTIMindtree, TCS, and Capgemini (only for girls). The internship percentage is negligible.
Infrastructure: The college campus is very small. It's only one building and a common field for NIT and JIS University. Wi-Fi is not available on the campus. Labs are okayish. Classrooms are also okayish but big. The library is very big. It's like a study centre only, and they don't have books and all. I mean, only course books. The hostel is the worst ever. If you want to study here, live in a flat or take an outside PG, not this college hostel, please. Sports fests happen frequently. NCC is very active in the college.
Faculty: Faculty members are indeed helpful and are not ignorant. They listen to you, and overall, they are sweet. At least in my IT department, they were very nice. The curriculum by MAKAUT is only followed here. As the college is autonomous. Exams happen in the college and papers are checked here only, so it's good for students. Paper checking is not very strict. You can apply for a recheck for just Rs.200. Most of the time, they increase your marks.
Other: Four years ago, it was bang on value for money. Now the fees have increased, but it's still okayish. I was in the IT course. Almost the same companies come for all CS-related branches, so it's the same after all. Fests are mid. They call mid artists, not so good. You can enjoy it if you are in groups, but you know that's possible anywhere, so nothing special about the fest. The campus surroundings are the worst. There is a big garbage dump area just near the college. Sometimes, you can have a foul smell in class too.

Satisfied because of the opportunity to pursue a career in research and development.
Placements: The total number of students who appeared for placements was 120. All students who were interested in getting a job were placed. 70% of students were placed through on-campus placement drives. The rest went for off-campus placements. The highest CTC offered was 6 LPA. The lowest was 1.8 LPA. The average was 3 LPA. Some of the top recruiters were EY, Wipro, Decathlon, BT Group, TCS, Cognizant, Bajaj Auto Credit, Amazon, Assam Abloy Group, and Planet Park. 80% of students got summer internship offers from companies such as Citimart, Motilal Oswal, and Decathlon. Some of the top roles included Tax Analyst, Customer Support, Sales Executive, and Procurement Executive.
Infrastructure: All classrooms were air-conditioned and equipped with projectors for a good learning experience. Computer labs were present. The number of systems available was sufficient for our batch strength. Wi-Fi was available for students, but the connection could only be used for academic needs. So we could not do any personal work such as using social media. A well-maintained library was present, and books could be issued easily. The library also had PCs equipped with broadband connections. Students could access the library after college if they needed to. Food availability was a challenge inside the college premises. Games classes were allowed.
Faculty: Faculty members from the sales and marketing, economics, and statistics domains were really well qualified. They could adapt to emerging teaching methodologies. The human resources domain had limited well-qualified teachers. Most of the faculty members were very young and inexperienced. The finance domain also had very limited well-qualified professors. The course curriculum was very relevant for students interested in marketing. Since IEM had professors who were really experienced in the marketing domain. Students got to learn through real-world situation projects, case studies, and industry visits. The difficulty of semester exams was easy to moderate at IEM. The passing percentage was 99%.
Other: I was confused about whether to do a B.Com or a B.Sc. in Economics after my 12th. I came to know about BBA from my elder brother one day. After exploring the course curriculum of BBA, I found that the scope of this degree was really wide. In BBA, students get to learn Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Sustainability, Strategy, and Supply Chain. I felt that this wide exposure that any BBA student received was the best part of this degree. My course would have been better if we had better teachers in the finance domain.
