The infrastructure is good. The placement record is also good. The seniors are helpful.
Placements: This college has a good placement record. Many students get placed in good companies. Students also get internships at TCS, Infosys, and Contingent. The placement opportunities are fabulous. Various types of branches are available here. They are useful to us. They also help us build a better future.
Infrastructure: Labs are good. They are well maintained. They give us freedom to explore new things. We can gain more knowledge through practical learning. We have to attend the lab daily. The rules are strict but thoughtful. The special CS lab is fabulous. It is super well-maintained.
Faculty: Faculty is good and very helpful. The semester questions are decent. Teachers help us find the answers. They guide us. They explain the roadmap we need to follow. This makes things much easier for us. Teachers are aware of the subjects they teach.
Other: The campus is nice. It is spacious enough to fulfil our expectations.

My college was good for placement, if any students wanted admission, they could do it.
Placements: Top recruiting companies for my course, like Capgemini, Infotech, Infosys, and other big companies, visited our college to hire freshers to build student careers. Top roles offered were software engineer, software developer, web developer, Android developer, iOS developer, and data engineer.
Infrastructure: They could not provide hostels, so actually all students lived in rented houses or flats. The college did not give accommodation, and they did not take any charges either. If anyone needed accommodation, they provided flats outside of the college, so remember the college did not charge for accommodation.
Faculty: College exams were very strict, and the invigilators were helpful during exams. Semester exams were very tough, and the invigilation was strict. During exams, CCTV cameras were active, and we gave our exams under CCTV surveillance. After entering the examination hall, they did not allow anyone to talk during exams. My pass percentage was a 7.6 CGPA.

BHM Review - Techno Main Salt Lake.
Placements: Placements in our college particularly for us are pretty decent like you can say average. If you study the required topics with a good amount of focus then you will definitely get the job as this college brings companies to the campus placement. About 60 to 70 percent of the students got placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very old-fashioned. You will get to see that the benches, windows, fans, and blackboards are from old times. Sometimes they do not even work properly. The Wi-Fi is present only on some of the selective floors and its range is very limited.
Faculty: The faculty that is present in our college in our course is pretty decent. They have the required knowledge about the subject which they teach. They know what is important from the placement's perspective. Some faculty are not so good. They teach the students just for the sake of completion.
Other: I was interested in this field, and this was the main reason to choose the course. I wanted to apply my skills and knowledge to improve management in the hospitality sector. I found this college decent and got reviews about it so I chose this college. Also it is near my hometown so this added a strong point to select it. Events and fests regularly happen on our college campus. You can enjoy your college life a lot. Also the girls-to-boys ratio is good in our college.

The college provides good placements, with the highest package reaching 36 LPA last year.
Placements: Approximately 75% of students in my course get placed. The highest package is 36 LPA, and the average package is 5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, and Cognizant. Around 100% of students get internships at different companies. Roles in web development and other fields are also offered.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is unmatched. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. Labs are clean, and the classrooms are big. There is a library on campus. The hostel food quality is best, and there is nothing to improve. It is the best in Durgapur.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified, from NIT or JU. They make students ready for the industry. The pass percentage is 80%. The teaching quality of every teacher is very good. They are well-educated, having graduated from NIT Durgapur, Jadavpur University, or IIT Kharagpur.
Other: I love computer science, which is why I chose this course. Nothing to improve. Many events are organized. The fest is held in January.

A very good college. Absolutely satisfied with the teaching, placements, and facilities.
Placements: I am from the B.Tech. Data Science batch of 2023–2027. Our batch is the first ever in the college for Data Science, but the college supports us greatly. Companies like TCS, Cognizant, GreenTech, IBM, Juspay, Sasken, etc., come for recruitment. Roles vary from SDE to AI/ML. So far, the highest package is 27 LPA from Juspay.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available everywhere on campus. Labs are well-equipped, and the library, reading room, and classrooms are good and neat. I don't stay in the hostel, so I don't know much about it, but I hear that the hostels are fairly good for both boys and girls. They are also very close to the campus. The food is moderately good.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is very good, with the efficient use of smart classrooms. The course is completely relevant to the specialization, with good subjects to study and learn. The semester exams are moderately difficult, and whatever is taught is asked in the exams, so we need to pay attention.

The worst experience I have ever had at RMGEC.
Placements: Though it was a government-regulated college, it had very poor management, specifically in placement drives. Every year, the placement rate was below 50%, along with a limited range of internship opportunities, even in the CSE branch. Rarely did students get internships at Syscentric, TCS, Qcentric, and DRDO. The ongoing placement drive had the highest package of 10 LPA. The lowest was 2.1 LPA. The average was around 3–4 LPA, with most offers from TCS, ThinkTech, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Wipro, Oasis, Dev Infotech, and Texiba. Some of the roles were Associate Software Engineer, Data Analyst, Technical Support, IT Engineer, Junior Assistant Engineer, and UI/UX Designer. I would recommend going for off-campus and online interviews for jobs.
Infrastructure: First of all, the mess food quality and hygiene were compromised since my first year. No one paid attention to the hygiene of the food. All college buildings were properly managed by local tenders. Wi-Fi was accessible only inside the buildings, with low latency and signal-amplifying devices. There were only two laboratories for the whole Computer Science department, which were also filled with older versions of Windows. There was no advanced software for coding and model training. Classrooms were decent, and the library had limited books, so we had to bring books ourselves. There were two canteens with a cafeteria for refreshments.
Faculty: The lecturers had moderate knowledge. The teaching methods followed an old-school format, which made it difficult to understand and maintain focus in class. They were more focused on memorization rather than clear concepts. However, the course curriculum was designed according to West Bengal University of Technology. It covered fundamentals of information technology such as OS, CAN, DSA, OOPS, cloud, and security. Workshops were designed by Google, Microsoft, Adobe, IBM, and TCS. Semester exams were modified into an easier format, with 50 marks for internal assessment and 50 marks for the semester exam, which reduced the failure rate. There was one entrepreneurship community active on campus, with successful alumni entrepreneurs from RMGEC.
Other: No one can say it was not worth the money, since we needed to pay only Rs. 6,000 for each semester. The total was Rs. 48,000 for a 4-year degree. This could be recovered through just one scholarship. However, everyone suffered a lot during the last year. One benefit of this institute was that it implemented an honours degree along with the normal degree from the 3rd year onwards, which could help students who wanted to pursue teaching professions in CSE. Very few events were hosted on campus with a small crowd, so there was not much campus enjoyment. However, sports and games had wide scope.
