NIT Rourkela BTech +M.Tech in Mining Engineering cut off trend has been increasing in the recent years. In 2021, the closing rank for BTech under General category for all India quota was 35458. In 2022, it increased to 53000. The cut off ranks have changed from 54879 to 68996 for OBC, 7721 to 6365 for SC, and 6415 to 193470 for ST. To get admission at NIT Rourkela, General AI category students need to attain a rank of 85536 or below to be eligible, according to the last round NIT Rourkela JEE Main cutoff 2025.

Cut offs are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 25048 and 59818. Admission to BTech +M.Techin Chemical Engineering at NIT Rourkela - National Institute of Technology is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exams like JEE. The BTech CSE last round rank for the General AI category in 2025 was 4245. In 2024 and 2023, the cutoff in the last round was 3365 and 4218, respectively.
