We have very vibrant and beautiful campus that you will definitely enjoy.
Placements: I don't know the placement percentage properly right now, but placements are decent. M. Many students got internships, mainly in the core branch and circuit branches. Mainly, you will find Amazon, Flipkart, and TCS- and Infosys-like companies hiring, and also some startups, which is very useful if you want to get experience and exposure to teaching, as PSUs have limited opportunities and working areas, which you will not get.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good as far as I have explored, but the internet connection is very poor. Other than that, I don't think there are any issues you will face here, except the attendance rule. Medical facilities are good. 2 hospitals and one medical store are there. The food is good with a variety of options.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, but in class, you may not get it sometimes, as the teachers' teaching skills are not very good; it's good, but you might have read it by yourself only. Most students study on their own at exam time. The rest of the time, they enjoy.
Other: I have chosen biomedical engineering because, honestly, I didn't get ECE as per my rank, but since biomedical is interdisciplinary to the electrical branch, and also NIT Rourkela is a tier 1 college, the environment you will get here is amazing. You can learn engineering from anywhere (we also study from NPTEL, etc.). Personality can't be upgraded or built anywhere. Events, fests, and sports activities are held regularly, so there is no issue from that side. The only issue in NIT Rourkela is the connectivity issue; the internet connection is not good. You will get a network somewhere and not somewhere else.

I am dissatisfied because of placements in my branch than other branches.
Placements: In my branch, most of the people are in the research section and do higher studies. Only a few of them go for placements, and everyone gets placed successfully. One with good skills gets good placements with good packages. In the research section, there are a number of topics available to do research.
Infrastructure: In my department, the building is good. I think biomedical has the biggest building in all departments. It also has a number of labs and classrooms in the department. Classrooms have projectors for better interactive classes, and classrooms also have AC facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are skillful in my branch, but the bad thing is that they all want students should come to their labs and do the research under their guidance. Students can do work under them from the first year itself in various topics like biosensors, tissue engineering, and biomaterials, etc.
Other: I did not choose this course on my own, and my main aim was to get a good college, so I chose this branch because the culture of this college is that the branch does not depend, and everyone prepares for a company who came opens for all. Things to be improved in my course are placements. Many companies should be available in this field to take the students, and students should get placed in the branch itself. Events and fests are good, as we have many types of fests and sports events throughout the year.

Review of NIT Rourkela - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: Especially for biotechnology and biomedical engineering not a lot are placed very few people go for research and development while the majority shift their streams to software and coding. I myself am interested in research. I am still in my second year so we have not gotten placed yet.
Infrastructure: The hostels are very backward as expected from a government college and the mess is even worse. The facilities provided for this course are great u get to have hands-on experience and that's good for learning. Medical facilities are useless they tell you u will die when you're perfectly fine.
Faculty: The experience with faculty at this institution varies; there are both good and bad professors. Some instructors may not even notice if you’re present or not, while others genuinely care about your success and well-being. Most professors do not teach in a traditional sense, leading to a greater emphasis on self-learning. Odd semesters tend to be easier than even semesters. The passing mark is 6.0, and the CGPA passing mark is 35. Overall, the course curriculum is quite relevant, especially in light of the new education policy.
Other: The campus is very huge. We have the biggest technological fest in northeastern India called Innovision. We also have a lot of clubs from technical clubs to film and musical clubs to literary clubs.

A college of diversity in unity.
Placements: Generally, 90% of students were placed in our course, and some people choose higher studies after graduation. The highest package in our branch is 14 LPA, and the lowest is about 3-4 LPA. The average package offered in our course is 8-9 LPA. Top recruiting companies include hospitals, government research centers, and pharmacy-related organizations. Everyone got an internship in our course, with top roles being researcher or bioengineer.
Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi in every building of our college, and the infrastructure is well made. The classrooms are big enough for all students. Our central library is spacious and good for studying. The hostels are well maintained, and there is Wi-Fi available there too. The quality of food in the mess and canteen is overall good, offering a variety from South Indian to North Indian dishes. The college has a dispensary for students, staff, and faculty members to assist with medical issues. There is also a range of sports equipment available in our hostel.
Faculty: The faculty members are highly qualified and knowledgeable, with many holding Ph.D. degrees from reputable institutions. The course curriculum is relevant and helps prepare students for the industry. The level of semester exams is moderate, and about 95% of students pass.
Other: I chose this course because it combines medical science and engineering, making it interesting to study medical topics from an engineering perspective. It would be better if more facilities and equipment were provided in our labs. There are over 80 clubs related to extracurricular activities in our college, including cricket, yoga, coding, tennis, dance, music, and literacy. The major fests of our college are Innovision, Cosmopolitan, and Nitrutsav.

NIT Rourkela: My honest experience.
Placements: Around 80% students get placed every year in our branch and course. This year, the highest package was around 50 lakhs CTC and the average was around 15 lakhs per annum. Top recruiting companies include Microsoft, GSK, Amazon, Adobe, etc. Around 70–80% of students get internships for various core and non-core roles. The top roles offered are SWE and SDE roles in companies like Microsoft, Google, etc.
Infrastructure: The laboratories are very well-equipped with proper facilities for research work and the classrooms are equipped with ACs and projectors. Sports facilities like a swimming pool, basketball court, kabaddi court, tennis court, soccer field, cricket ground, etc. are provided. The hostel rooms are very poor, the management is worse, and the quality of food in hostels is really, really bad.
Faculty: The teaching staff is very professional and has very renowned professors all over India. The quality of education is really great. The course curriculum is mostly practical-based and helps students get ready for industry purposes and solve real-life problems with innovative solutions under the guidance of the professors. The semester exams are moderate to easy, and the pass percentage is around 80%.
Other: The best thing is diversity and college culture. Many fests like Nitrutstav, Innovision, Cosmo, celebrity night, and many clubs like Pantomime and Akriti bring color to boring college life.

Perfect campus life, good infrastructure, ideal hostel Life and good placements.
Placements: Around 65 percent students got placed in the course I was pursuing. The highest package offered was 23 LPA by Fiitjee for role of business consultant and the lowest was by Bharat biotech for 2.5 LPA. Average package offered was around 8LPA. Top recruiting companies include Shell, Fractal, Fiitjee, Trinamix, Eily Lily. 20 percent students got unpaid internships in NIMHANS ICMR, IGH, CWS hospital and institutions. Top roles offered are Software Engineer, Al/ML engineer, data engineer, Trainee, data analyst.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure for my course and hostel is really good. My department has labs equipped with sophisticated instruments and Wi-Fi and provides a really good exposure to research field and higher education. The classrooms and library are also good. Hostel facilities are good except for some days there is water shortage. Hostels have LAN port, food is average and good on some days. There are day and night canteens near every hostel to cater the students. Institute takes medical feels to provide medical facilities and also provides good opportunities for sports and games by organizing sports fests, inter-NIT tournaments, intra hostel games, etc.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They have degrees from highly reputed universities from both India and abroad. Some of the teachers have excellent teaching capabilities. The course curriculum is relevant upto some extent but it doesn't make you industry ready completely. You have to undergo other courses available online and it also depends on your passion and interest. The semester exams are easy if you study well before 15 days from exams and pay attention to professors in class.95 percent pass in exams and some do not due to their own fault.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in Biology. The best things about my course are it provides ample of time to explore other opportunities and some courses are really interesting. Things that I would like to SEE improvement in are more core companies visiting our campus for my course. There are multiple fests in an academic year like Innovison, Nitrutsav, Cosmopolitan and other events organised by technical and literary clubs. Connectivity is also good by both roadways and railways. Campus is lush green due to trees and has beautiful sceneries. Scholarship is available for students whose family income is below 1 Lacs and 1lakh-5 Lacs. There is also a large pool of extracurricular activities and it all depends on your tike and interest.

Review of NIT Rourkela - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: Around 50% of students got placed in our course. The remaining students went for higher studies. The highest salary package offered by FITJEE Limited is 30 LPA. The lowest salary package offered by TCS is 3 LPA. Top roles offered are software developer, etc. All students got internships. Core companies offered low salary packages.
Infrastructure: We have a good campus. It is very beautiful. The night canteen is open till 2 am. It is spread over 1,800 acres of land. The hostel provides a LAN facility for each room. Around two students can stay in each room. The food served in the mess is decent. The department building is very good.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. They help us in many ways with our projects. It is a new course compared to other courses. Our course should be updated and maintained with a modern approach.
Other: Our college conducts many fests. The hostel conducts sports fests.

Our college has very good infrastructure with highly qualified faculty members.
Placements: Above 90% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 46.08 LPA, the average salary package offered is 11.2 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 5 LPA. Some of the top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Google, Amazon, and Oracle. Everyone got an internship from our course and some recruiters include Dr. Reddy's Laboratories and CWS Hospital. Some of the top roles offered in our course are microbiologist and medical instrumentation.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very nice with highly equipped labs and air-conditioned and well-ventilated classrooms. We have one of the biggest libraries on our campus which is the Biju Patnaik Central Library. A good parking space is available besides our department. There are various facilities in every hostel of NIT Rourkela. Some of them are a gym, badminton court, and a mess with good and home-quality food. In our GD Birla hostel, there are 3 canteens (one inside and two outside). In case of any medical assistance, we have a health center and also a CWS hospital which is only 500 metres from our campus. For sports and games, we have a cricket ground, football ground, handball ground, two basketball courts, four table tennis courts, two badminton courts, two volleyball grounds, swimming pool with good trainers, NCC, athletic club, kho-kho club, kabaddi club, etc.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful and friendly in nature. They are highly qualified with appropriate knowledge, skills, and experience. We can say that teaching quality is worthy for understanding of concepts. The course curriculum is very relevant and it makes students fully prepared according to industry standards. Semester exams are not so difficult as long as we maintain our notes and listen while teachers teach. The pass percentage is 55%.
Other: I chose this course because it caught my attention and I thought to explore it. The best thing about our course is we will get to work with medical faculty members. Our course is a mixture of Biology, medical, and engineering. Some of the things I wish to improve about our course is the addition of a few medical-related things like patient care and hospital management. There are several events organised on our campus like celebrity night, Innovision, hackathons, treasure hunts, etc. Connectivity is good. Campus surroundings are full of greenery with fresh air. There are some scholarship programs for talented ones and for students with low family incomes. There are lots of extracurricular activities like various sports, dance, drama, music, art, cooking, coding, gaming, and indoor games-related clubs.
