NIT Trichy College Review
Placements: College has a good placement record with jobs being offered in both core and non-core sectors. Some reputed companies like Amazon, Wipro, Infosys, and Microsoft visit the campus every year during the placement season for a strong recruitment drive. Approximately 95% of students, on average, get placed every year, with the highest package during our batch reaching almost INR 50 LPA.
Infrastructure: College offers decent infrastructure and useful amenities, especially for Science students. Well-equipped labs and a resourceful library are available. For those coming from outside Jaipur, the hostel provides adequate facilities. The mess service is hygienic, and the food menu is acceptable, though they need to add more food items liked by students.
Faculty: Some teachers were not very punctual, although they possessed good subject knowledge. The teaching quality was decent, and semester exams were moderately challenging. With a pass rate of about 90%, the overall academic experience was satisfactory. Overall, the faculty members are good and approachable.

My journey in NIT Trichy.
Placements: Currently, in my college, placements are going on, but some data released by the college shows that 93% of chemical students get placed. The highest package till is 34 LPA. The average package is 16 LPA. 5 students got placed with a package of above 30 LPA. 20 students got placed with a package of above 25 LPA, and 34 students got placed with a package of 15 LPA.
Infrastructure: Our classrooms are well-maintained and fully air-conditioned. The library is so big and all types of books are available in library. In the second semester, we have two labs in a week, one is Physics, and the other is for engineering practice.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They guide us in academic as well as career-wise. Teachers are well-trained here, so it is very helpful for us to understand their way of teaching. The course curriculum is updated as per the industrial requirements every time and it helps us to interrelate the things from books to real life. Exams are held in three stages, i.e., class test 1, class test 2, assignments, and end-semester exams. The difficulty level depends on the students whether they attend all classes or not. The course curriculum for our course is like in the second semester 21 credits and in the first, it is like 19 credits.
Other: I chose chemical engineering because I have an interest in chemicals and the environment. The best thing is that the chemical course placements are very good compared to other courses. If I get a chance to improve something it must be our EEE professor who is very rude and he just comes to write something on the board and leaves without saying a word.

The placements are really good, along with the facilities.
Placements: 97+ percent of students got placed in Chemical Engineering from NIT Tiruchirappalli. The highest package is above 60 LPA, and the lowest is around 7-8 LPA. Top recruiting companies for B.Tech include Google, Microsoft, Oracle, and many more.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for all courses and departments, like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library, are good. The hostel facilities are decent, neither very good nor very bad, and the quality of food available in the mess and canteen is okay. Medical facilities are also good.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, and their knowledge is very good due to their years of experience. The teaching quality of the professors is solid. There are two cycle tests and one end-semester exam per semester, with the pass percentage varying with the average.

It's a good college with minimum requirements.
Placements: The placements in the college are very good; there are jobs for core and non-core at the same time. Many different companies, like Amazon, Wipro, Infosys, and Microsoft, come to our campus and the placement cell makes sure of having good placements every year. Nearly 95% of placements happen every year and the highest package of our time was nearly INR 50 LPA.
Infrastructure: The hostels are not that good and it's just average to stay but cheaper than other hostels outside to live in. The food was okay, but we needed to adjust as it was a hostel mess and all our sports games were good and the ground was neat. Medical treatment and a hospital are also nearby.
Faculty: The faculty are okay and need to do more self-learning as there is no spoon-feeding here. Seniors and all other students should be in touch so they can help you and teach and share knowledge.
