Really good for UG, slightly less suitable for PG. Needs more contribution from newer faculty.
Placements: Placements for UG circuital branches are top notch. Leading companies visit the campus and offer really good packages. Packages like 15 LPA - 18 LPA are pretty common. The situation for PG and UG non-circuital branches, however, is not that great. Most students do get placed but not with very high packages. Average packages for these branches is 6 LPA. Core companies, software companies visit the campus with several profiles varying from engineers to analysts to consultants.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is extraordinary as it is a government institute. The campus is spread over an area of 800 acres. All hostels have wifi connectivity. The library is a building with 4 storeys with books from every genre.
Sports and games facility are plenty for interested students. Classes and labs are appropriately equipped.
Faculty: Faculty in the college is good. There are some excellent professors with huge knowledge and really good teaching skills. Although most of the best professors are the older ones who are about to retire soon. I'm afraid the new faculty isn't as helpful or knowledgeable.
The course curriculum in some departments is outdated but that's not different from any other engineering institute. There were industrial visits for exposure and the student to faculty ratio for PG was very good with 25 students in one class.
Other: PG students shouldn't expect placements as good as UG students. While EEE, dontECE, CSE don't have much of a problem but civil and mech students shouldn't expect much. Mess facility isn't good enough and needs some initiative from the administration. The administration is quite student friendly but only towards boys.
