Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must complete their Class 12 with an aggregate of 60% in Class 12. Moreover, a candidate myst have studied Mathematics and Physics as their compulsory subjects and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Biology as optional subject. The SASTRA University BTech admission process is conducted in two ways. 50% of the seats are filled based on the rank secured in JEE Main. Hence, candidates seeking admission through JEE Main should look out for JEE Main exam dates. For the remaining 50% of seats, the university releases a rank list based on merit in Class 12. Step 1.4: Pay the SASTRA University BTech application fee.
Step 2: Counselling & Seat Allotment
50% of the seats are allotted based on the ranks obtained by the applicants in the JEE Main exam. For the remaining 50%, seats are allocated through the SASTRA University counselling. Furthermore, as per the achieved scores of applicants, the university releases the merit list/ cutoff list of shortlisted applicants. Those who have their names and want to enrol for the course can proceed with the further admission process.

Candidates have to pay INR 600 to apply for a course at SASTRA University. Aspirants can pay the fees via any of the online payment modes. Candidates must keep the fee receipt with them for future reference.
Candidate should not have completed 19 years as on August 1 of the admission year to apply at SASTRA University. Aspirants also need to meet the educational requirements i.e. Class 12 for UG and graduation for PG programmes.

Yes, candidates can join SASTRA University BTech courses without appearing for JEE Mains. There are two admission criterias for admission to SASTRA University BTech and they are as mentioned below:
Stream 1: JEE Mains + Class 12 marks (50% weightage given to each), for admission to 50% of the total seats
Stream 2: Class 12 marks (100% weightage), for admission to the remaining 50%
The candidates can opt for any of the streams mentioned above, as per their convenience. Interested candidates must meet the eligibility criteria, mentioned below, before applying:
Eligibility- Class 12 with Maths and Physics as compulsory subjects with either Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Biology, from a recognised board, and a minimum 60% aggregate.
