It is a good college for academic purposes.
Placements: Placements are average. The highest salary package offered was 25 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 1.8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Paypal, TCS, Infosys, Amazon, Qualcomm, Light & Wonder, etc.
Infrastructure: There is a decent library in this college. Our campus is very beautiful. The hostel is average. The food served in the mess is decent. They provide pure vegetarian food items. Our campus is very peaceful.
Faculty: You have to be friendly and communicate with faculty members. The teaching quality is better. The syllabus is better. Faculty members will guide you in all aspects. You should use this opportunity properly.

SASTRA campus is the most beautiful asset for any student and to feel proud.
Placements: About 80% of the students from our course got placed with the average salary package of 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are L&T and Microsoft. Most of the IT companies like TCS, CTS, Infosys and Wipro also participated in placements. Roles offered by the companies are engineer trainee and software analyst.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure plays a vital role in the development of the college as the students are now focusing on labs, classrooms, etc., while selecting a college. All these facilities are good and well developed in our university.
Faculty: One of the most important factors for students to have achievement is highly qualified teachers. Research shows that the subject knowledge of teachers is greatly associated with students learning. Many researchers from our university are working on different innovative projects.

Overall our college is good.
Placements: The most prestigious company will recute in our college for example TCS will recute more students in IT sector. There is average placements from core company if a student maintains average CGPA of 7.5 will get the placement in any company. Faculty is good.
Infrastructure: Infrasture is good. University will provide all type of infrastructure. University will provide all lab equipment and if come to hostel fee of hostel is very reasonable and if comes to mess food is not excellent most of the students don't like the food in some days.
Faculty: Faculty explains the concept well and all the faculty who teaches in Sastra are well qualified and the Dean's and associative deans will also teach to all the years. There is no need to panic while interacting with faculty. They will move freely with students.

Faculty members, infrastructure, sports and extracurricular activities are very good.
Placements: For non-locals students, the percentage of 96% to 98% in the academic is required to get admission for the civil engineering branch. The highest salary package offered is 24 LPA, the average salary package offered is 10 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. LNT and Unicor are the top recruiting companies. Top roles offered to the students are site engineer, design engineer, etc. Students who scored above 7.5 CGPA in their academics can be able to get an internship in LNT, and students who scored above 6 CGPA in their academics can be able to get in My Home Constructions.
Infrastructure: The college provides smart classrooms and drawing classrooms with Wi-Fi. Free Wi-Fi can be used only in laptops. Geotechnical lab, strength of materials lab, concrete and highway lab, fluid mechanics lab, CAD lab and surveying lab, are available here with required machines and equipment.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are highly qualified, and they have completed a PhD or going to complete it. However, they have completed their PG in NITs, IITs, etc. The way of teaching is extremely good, and they use smart classes to make students understand easily. The course curriculum is relevant, and students are getting placed in the respective core companies.
Other: I have chosen this course because of my father's wish, and it also has a very good future. Placements for this course are comparatively less, so I wish they should invite companies for this course. Technical and fun events are conducted in our college every month, but there could be a good connection between seniors and juniors. Ragging is prohibited on the campus.

My experience after being in SASTRA for three long years.
Placements: 1.90% of students in our course are placed.
2. The highest-24lpa, the lowest-2lpa and the average is around 3.5 LPA.
3. Top recruiting companies are TCS, CTS, Wipro and Infosys. Core companies like L&T and Saint Gobain recruit only 1 or 2 students.
4. Software engineer ( if we take up an IT job)
Site engineer and Structural engineer if we get a core job.
5. The highest salary offered to our course is -6lpa, the lowest-4lpa and the average is around 3lpa.
6. About 60% of students had already interns in companies like L&T, My home group etc. , .
Infrastructure: 1. The facilities in our course is par excellent. We have got Wi-Fi, various labs, Classrooms, seminar halls, projector rooms etc. , and a central library too.
2. The facilities in hostels are not that good. No hot water is provided for bathing. Congested rooms in some hostels. Food in hostels is not good. Sports and games are encouraged.
Faculty: 1. The teachers are really helpful here. Most of them have a Ph.D. in their respective field. They always try to encourage you when you feel low. The teaching quality is good. For teaching, PowerPoint presentation is mostly preferred.
2. Yes, the course curriculum is completely relevant to the industry. It is totally helpful to the job that the student is going to do after graduation.
Other: 1. Honestly speaking, I had a huge crush on animation design when I was in my 12th grade. But things always don't end up easily. I got in to Civil. But the course has been really helpful and interesting. The best thing is faculty here is very friendly and we have various labs to do some research.
2. Things can be improved:-
The management should try to implement industrial and site visits since it requires more practical experience to be a Civil engineer.
3. We have three main fests every year:-
Colloseum (Sports fest), Daksh (Tech fest) and Kuruksastra (Cultural). Girls take up NCC and boys contribute in NSS.

Everything is good in the college apart from the mess.
Placements: Around 85 % of the students will get placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was 24 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 2.5 LPA. The average salary package offered was 4.5 LPA. The top recruiting company was L&T. In our course, the highest salary package offered was 12 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 2.5 LPA. Around 50% of the students got an internship in My Home and L&T.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for our course are Wi-Fi, concrete lab, fluid mechanics lab, highway lab and many important useful equipments. Classrooms are also provided with projectors. The hostel is good, but the mess is not worth and satisfactory. The canteen is fine.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are quite good and very helpful. But the timings of college are the worst part of B.Tech life as they start from 8.45 A.M and end at 5.15 P.M. If there are open electives, it will even be till 7:00 P.M. The course curriculum is relevant. We can learn many things during the course.
Other: I opted for the course because I was interested in it. The college needs to change class timings and to decrease the number of periods per day. There is no playground on the campus.

Review of SASTRA (Deemed to be University).
Placements: Students from our course did not get placed yet, but from our department, about 80% of the students got placed in IT companies. The highest salary package offered in our course is 24 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 4 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2.88 LPA. Top recruiting companies like TCS, CTS, Infosys and Wipro visit our campus for placements. Top roles are offered to computer science students. The highest salary offered is Rs. 60,000 per month. About 40% of students got an internship in companies like TCS, CTS, Infosys, Amazon and Freshworks.
Infrastructure: All laboratories are perfect and well-equipped with equipment. Wi-Fi facility is available in all corner of the campus. Classrooms are provided with digital screens, projectors and well-cleaned environment. The library is good, and we can find more books there. Digital library is also available. The hostel is well-cleaned. Food served in the hostel is below average, and it serves only vegetarian food for the students.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are qualified, and they are good at respective their course. Their teaching quality is perfect. They are very friendly, and they will help us in all aspects. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students industry-ready and to do anything in their field.
Other: I didn't have any option, so I have chosen this course. The best things about our course are I earned more knowledge of civil construction, and I got the confidence to be an engineer for the construction field. I wish the college should improve the explanation of topics and students skills. Many events like Daksh, Colosseum, Utsav and Hinges are organised at our college. Fests like Kuruksastra and Daksh are also organised. Campus crowd is amazing and huge. National scholarship is available, and the best top students in the department are offered with a scholarship. Extracurricular activities like Swach Bharat, NSS, dance, singing, etc., are conducted at our college.

Good infrastructure and facilities, Faculties are friendly.
Placements: More than 50% of the students are placed in my course, But all are in IT companies. Only one core company visited for recruitment. No one selected in that company. The highest salary offers for students is 9 Lacs per annum. The lowest is 4 Lacs per annum. Average salary offered for students is 5 Lacs per annum. College has a good relation with TCS, CTS, Infosys, Wipro. These companies recruit average of 1500 (50%) students every year. Amazon, L&T are the other companies visit our campus, They recruit 4% of students. Companies choose for internship is based on the interest of students.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the department is good. The building has plants and trees at center of it provides a fresh environment. Every classroom has Wi-Fi facility. Smart classes are available for better learning of students. Central library consist of all books related to course and previous years question paper. Hostel facility for both men and women is available separately. Food, Snacks, Tea are provided in hostel. We can add any special food on menu also, Price for it will be added to mess fee. More than 6 canteen also available for students. Hospital facility is available within a campus with doctor available from 9 am to 8 pm. A department store is there for hostel students. Every hostel provide Wi-Fi to students. There are separate volleyball, basketball, football, handball, badminton court for boys and girls. Indoor stadium is common for boys and girls. Separate gym for boys and girls are available near their hostel respectively.
Faculty: All teachers are Master degree holder and 80% of teachers are Ph.D. completed. Most experienced and knowledgeable persons are available. Syllabus for course updated yearly. More number of Faculty are available for each domain of the course. Faculty are always ready to help students. Special classes are also available for below average students, if students wish to have, not compulsory. At the end of course, project carried out my students teaches them a lot which helps them to ready for industry.
Other: I choose this course on my own interest, But in this college other courses have better placement option. More number of Fun events, Technical events, cultural events, sports are conducted every month. Collosium is the major sports event on February month, Daksh is the major technical event and KurukSastra is important cultural events which may also considered as farewell for final year students.

SASTRA has two streams for entry. Stream-1 takes an aggregate of JEE and board marks (75% JEE and 25% board). Stream-2 considers only board marks.
