    SMVDU has a green environment.
    Placements: In this case, there are no placements. There is no average package for B.Sc. students but there are lot of placements in B.Tech. students. The companies recruiting students for B.Tech. are TCS, IBM, HDFC, Tata Elxsi, Range Business Services, etc.
    Infrastructure: Infrastructure is great for SMVDU. New infrastructure is being built in the SMVDU. The facilities of the SMVDU library and class are great. The library has an AC facility and a Wi-Fi facility as well. Mess has good food and there is canteen and medical staff. Sports and games are also available.
    Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable. There teaching quality is good enough for us to understand what they are conveying. Yes, courses are relevant, making the students industry-ready. Semester exams are of moderate level at the university. 36 percent is the pass percentage.
    Other: I chose this course because I have a B.Sc. Hons. in Physics so I want to pursue it further in a M.Sc. I joined it. I wish that Gate No. 2 should be open 24 hours a day. There are numerous events, including a tech fest, an annual sports fest, Sarang, and DJ nights.

    Review of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University.
    Placements: At least 50-60% students find placements. The highest package may be 30-40 LPA. And the lower package is 2-5 LPA. Yes, maximum 80-90% of students got internships from the course in multinational companies and IITs. Many roles are offered in our course because our college follows NEP rules.
    Infrastructure: Infra is good; the view from the campus is very good. Wi-Fi works properly, good labs. All books are available in the library. Facilities in our classes are fully furnished and smart with Epson projectors, and labs are also fully equipped. The quality of the food is average in the mess.
    Faculty: Yes, the teachers were helpful; they were Ph.D. or postgraduates, and their teaching quality is the best. Yes, exams are difficult; the pass percentage is 80%. Yes, this course curriculum is relevant; it makes the students industry-ready. There were three exams: the 1st minor that is a 20-mark exam, the 2nd minor was also a minor, and the third was major, which is a 50-mark exam. The other 10 marks are for assignments.
    Other: Some projectors do not work properly.

    This college focus on the overall personality development of the students.
    Placements: Around 5%-10% of the students from our course got placed. The highest salary package offered was 6.5 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 2.5 LPA. The average salary package offered was 4.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are ICICI Prudential, HDFC Bank, TCS and Mahindra and Mahindra. Around 5%-10% of the students got internships from our course. Roles offered to the students include project manager, branch manager, etc.
    Infrastructure: The campus is fully equipped with 24x7 availability Wi-Fi facility, library, cafeteria, medical hospital, gym, etc. The quality of the facilities provided in our hostel is very good, and the food served in the mess is average but manageable. The canteen is hygienic, and sports and games facilities are also available for students.
    Faculty: Teachers here are well qualified and are knowledgeable. They used to teach through examples and relating the content with the real world. This course curriculum is very relevant, and it prepares students for the industry. Students are prepared to meet the current industry needs and fulfil the demand.
    Other: I chose this course as I have an interest in that field. The best thing about this course is it is very much relevant to today's world. I wish that our college should provide good internship opportunities and conduct seminars in our course. Events, fests and extracurricular activities are conducted for students who intend to participate in them. Scholarships are provided.

    Good infrastructure, but no placements in M.Sc. Economics in 2024 was extremely dissatisfying.
    Placements: There were zero placements. They were informed earlier that placement companies would come, but literally no company came. We even asked officials for help but received no response. From the first year onwards, I started asking professors about career options but got no help with placements.
    Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi connection was not good. Many times, it got disconnected on its own and was slow as well. The library was good and had good books too. Classrooms were okay. About the hostel, the food was not good during my course, 2 or 3 times, students even found live cockroaches and houseflies in the food.
    Faculty: Some teachers were good, but many were very partial. In an exam, I did very well and knew I had scored 20/20, but the teacher gave me fewer marks and told me that if the topper was getting 18, how could they give me more than that. This happened many times. Not only that, in front of me, a teacher was telling his favorite student, You don’t worry, I will not let anyone else score more marks than you, referring to the batch topper and her friends. These incidents happened right in front of me.
    Other: The course was no doubt the best, as M.Sc. Economics was not only a theoretical subject but also practical. They provided many job opportunities in various fields like data analyst, risk analyst, financial management, economics, and many more. But, choosing SMVDU University for this course was my biggest mistake. Apart from academics, the campus was good, the infrastructure was amazing, and the extracurricular activities were great.

    Best college to go to in every course.
    Placements: The placement rate for the B.Sc. in Biotechnology at SMVDU is approximately 40-50%. Many students choose to pursue higher studies, such as M.Sc., MBA, or Ph.D., instead of seeking direct placements, which impacts the overall placement statistics. The highest package offered is around 5-6 LPA, primarily for rare top placements in sales and marketing roles within the biotech industry. The average package ranges from 2.5 to 3.5 LPA. The lowest package is around 2 LPA.
    Infrastructure: SMVDU has separate hostels for boys and girls on the campus. The campus is fully residential. A hostel stay is mandatory for most undergraduate students unless special permission is taken. Single-seater rooms (private room) for final-year students. Double-seater rooms for first-year and second-year students. Rooms are furnished with a bed, a study table, a chair, wardrobe.
    Faculty: The curriculum is updated as per UGC guidelines and tries to keep up with the biotech industry. Subjects like genetics, molecular Biology, bioinformatics, immunology, etc. They are covered well. However, practical exposure to industry tools (like advanced lab techniques, internships) could be better. Students need to pursue extra certification if they want a strong edge in private biotech jobs. Overall, the curriculum is solid for research and higher studies, moderate for direct industry jobs.
    Other: It is a fantastic course and is led by the governor.

    Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University is a semi-government university in the Jammu region.
    Placements: Talking about the students strength, that is 34 Basically for B.Sc. Level the packages are very less the highest is 4.5 Lacs per annum Companies including biotech, angen, pharma industries Biotechnology is a good field for the students who have taken Biology in class 12th.
    Infrastructure: There are several items available in our department like well developed labs with well working machines, library with high-speed internet for the students to search or to work. Classrooms are also neat and clean with a changing watch on the top Talking about the hostel life, it is also very good, having canteen in between the campus, Medical facilities, sports complex.
    Faculty: The teachers of Our department are well qualified and all have done research in various fields, they are of very helping nature and soft spoken. The exams of our department are going well minor and major along with quizzes, assignments and presentations.
    Other: I have choose the course biotechnology as it very interesting subject for Biology students after NEET having many areas to explore and a good job opportunity. There are several events that are organised by the University, fests. They provide scholarships upto 50,000.
