Thapar University BTech fees is different from all specialisations of both BE and BTech courses. Both courses have been divided into three groups where every specialisation in the same group has the same Thapar University fees. If candidates secure a minimum aggregate of over 75%, they are eligible for a tuition fee waiver in BME, CHE, CCA, CIE, ELE, EIC, MEE and MEC branches. Students have to pay the fee on per-semester basis. The fee structure includes many one-time and annually paid components. The admission fee has to be paid only once at the time of admissions. Other charges are tuition fee, development fee, etc. The university also provides hostel facilites for students. The accommodations are available in two/ three seater AC and Non-AC rooms. Thapar University offers four-year full-time BE/BTech courses at the undergraduate level. Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology admission to all the BE/BTech courses is based on candidates' performance in the JEE Main entrance exam except BTech in Biotechnology and Biomedical Engineering. TIET BTech admission to Biotechnology and Biomedical Engineering is based on valid NEET 2023 marks, followed by a counselling process. TIET 50% of the seats will be filled basis of NEET scores and the rest 50% of the seats shall be filled on the basis of merit of marks obtained in Class 12 or equivalent examination in aggregate of three subjects, namely, Physics, Chemistry and, Biology.

Thapar University does not hold its own BTech entrance exam; it's done through JEE Main, which is moderate to tough. MBA requires CAT, NMAT, or XAT, competitive exams. M.Tech GATE is challenging but can be cracked if one prepares for it.

I’d consider Thapar Institute among these options, but for an MBA, compare the specializations, placement records, fees and ROI carefully. LPU is also worth considering, depending on your career goals and budget.
