Good, excellent, supportive faculty members, and good infrastructure.
Placements: Campus placements are available, but you have to improve your skills. A lot of companies come for recruitment. Many students from our college get placed in different companies. You can find UBDT students working all over the world.
Infrastructure: The college has excellent labs, classrooms, and a canteen, and everything is kept very clean. Hostel facilities are also available at an affordable cost. Sports activities, NCC, NSS, and yoga activities are available in our college. Medical facilities are also available near the hostels and the college.
Faculty: Faculty members are very cooperative and supportive. The college infrastructure is good. Teachers help students with problem-solving and decision-making. Most of the faculty members are highly qualified Ph.D. professors.
Other: Everything is good. I chose Electrical and Electronics Engineering because it is highly difficult but also a good course.

Decent placement training and infrastructure, but management is quite strict.
Placements: 60 percent of students got placed from this particular course. The highest package offered is approximately 4 LPA to 7 LPA. The placement office is noted for actively working to bring opportunities to students. Attendance for placement training is strictly mandatory. Students may face fines if they skip these sessions.
Infrastructure: Students have access to a well-equipped campus library that includes digital books for online reference. Labs are well-maintained with good facilities. The campus is described as very nice, highly secure, and filled with lush greenery. Regular hostel rooms are shared by 3 students (you and 2 roommates) and come furnished with necessities like a bed, study table, and chair. The college also offers premium NRI hostels.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and approachable. They are helpful when students face academic or personal problems on campus. The teaching quality is rated highly. The course curriculum is deemed industry-relevant. It is effectively helping students transition from academics to professional roles.
Other: SIT provides decent training and infrastructure, you should expect strict management policies, mandatory training sessions, and the reality that you may need to rely on your own initiative (and off-campus drives) to secure a high-quality placement.

A well rounded college with great faculty, placements, and campus life.
Placements: For the EEE 2024-25 batch, around 62-63 percent of students were placed. The average package was 2-3 LPA. The highest package was 5-6 LPA. Recruiters included Infosys, QSpiders, and other companies. The college provided 100% internship support and offered good assistance for placements, internships, sports, and overall student development.
Infrastructure: Excellent infrastructure with campus-wide Wi-Fi, AC labs, smart classrooms, central, digital, and reading-room libraries. Hostel facilities are good. Food is hygienic and tasty. Medical support is available, and the college strongly encourages sports and extracurricular activities.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified, mostly Ph.D. holders, with excellent teaching. The curriculum is industry-oriented, supported by internal assessment. VTU semester exams are conducted strictly with fair evaluation, ensuring quality learning and discipline.
Other: EEE offers strong career prospects with experienced faculty and practical learning. I'm satisfied with the course quality. The college conducts regular technical and cultural events. It has a spacious campus, good connectivity, scholarship support, and encourages extracurricular activities.

Overall, it is a very good college.
Placements: EEE had the highest placement percentage compared to all other branches, which was 90%. The next highest was Electronics and Communication. Companies like Sky High Security visited our college with a package of 15 LPA. Hardware companies like Moon Ride offered packages of 12 LPA. Students from the Electronics and Communication department also got placed in Tessolve Semiconductors with a package of 10 LPA.
Infrastructure: We have well-equipped labs for both hardware and software. Our college has also introduced FPGA implementation this year for hands-on experience in hardware. The hostel facilities are good, with high-speed Wi-Fi and good food. We have three canteens in our college. One canteen provides various food items like Chinese, chats, and South Indian menus, while another mainly serves South Indian food. We also have another canteen with source items available at very low prices.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified in our college. They clear our doubts and guide us, which is very helpful for students. The course curriculum is designed in such a way that it meets both academic and industrial requirements. Industry experts and teachers are part of the syllabus framing committee. It is making it easier for students to get exposure to various concepts. Since VVCE is an autonomous college, the question paper difficulty level is moderate and not so difficult that students cannot pass.
Other: I chose Electronics and Communication Engineering because I wanted exposure to both software and hardware fields. Software concepts like Verilog HDL are also covered. Every year, Vidyuth is celebrated joyfully with full enthusiasm. It is an event that all students eagerly wait for. VVCE also provides scholarships from the college side, apart from government scholarships, to support economically backward and meritorious students. Extracurricular activities like club activities, including Aspera and E-Week, are conducted. College also organizes competitions such as Breaking Trades. It deals with stock markets and related topics.

Nice college with good friends. The only pressure is writing exams and completing assignments.
Placements: Just 30% of students were placed. Only some companies visited the college, and the highest package was 6 LPA. Companies like Capgemini, Infotech, Infosys, etc., are coming to our college. Initially, more than 60 companies had visited our college. Maybe you can get placements with average packages.
Infrastructure: All things were good, including a good hostel, food, and ventilated rooms. The food in our college canteen is average. If you want better food, you need to travel at least 500 meters away from the college. Wi-Fi is good on campus, but mobile network connectivity is not available.
Faculty: In our course, it is easy to write exams. The teaching staff is good. Exams like IAs and semester-end exams are easy to clear by studying previous-year papers. However, if you completely depend on the college staff, it is not possible to get a job through this college.
Other: Only 2 or 3 fests are conducted per year. Campus life is good.

It is a very good college if you want to learn or pursue engineering.
Placements: Students get placed in different types of companies, but the overall placement rate is lower compared to what is advertised. The job market is currently in a difficult state. However, the placement training and support provided by teachers are very good and worth it.
Infrastructure: Facilities are great, including the library and classrooms. It is a big campus, so there is a lot of space overall, which makes the environment good. The canteen is okay. The sports facilities are really good, especially with the newly built basketball and football courts. Laboratories are also good. There is good Wi-Fi connectivity.
Faculty: I am under VTU, so the curriculum is based on the VTU syllabus. Apart from that, teachers have good knowledge of their subjects and are very helpful. They provide different types of study materials that are useful for students to score well in examinations.

As its KCET rank is 44,000, getting admission in the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) branch of University BDT College of Engineering (UBDTCE), Davanagere, could be out of reach. The closing ranks for CSE at UBDTCE used to be considerably lower in earlier years.
