The Visvesvaraya Technological University BSc fee structure includes the tuition fees, registration fees, e-consortium fee, student sports fees, etc. The tuition fee is the most major component of the fee structure. No, Karnataka PGCET is not compulsory to take admission in VTU. KPGCET is one of the accepted exams for admission in VTU. But, VTU also accepts other exams such as CAT/XAT/KMAT/CMAT, etc. for its MBA admission.

Yes, candidates belonging to the states other than Karnataka can also apply for admission in VTU for MBA and the other courses as well. The university allots its seats on the basis of the scores of national level exams like Karnataka PGCET/CAT/XAT/CMAT etc. Hence, any candidate that meets the eligibility criteria for VTU can take admission in any of the courses offered by the university.

Seats at VTU are allocated by KEA, based on the scores of the accepted exams. However, the university promotes inclusivity of students belonging to the minority categories of Karnataka. So the eligibility criteria of minimum aggregate marks in bachelor’s degree is 45% for the minority candidates belonging to Karnataka, as opposed to the minimum aggregate requirement of 50% for all the other candidates.

The total student intake at VTU Belgaum for its MBA programme is of 120 students. Apart from these, the colleges affiliated with VTU also provide an MBA in various specialisations. These seats are allocated on the basis of scores of various accepted entrance exams. These exams include Karnataka PGCET, KMAT, XAT, CAT, etc.

Canddiates who have passed a recognised Bachelor’s Degree of a minimum of three years duration or equivalent examination and obtained a minimum of 50 % aggregate is eligible for admission to VTU MBA programme. The candidates appear for the  Entrance Examination conducted by KEA (PGCET)/Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) or appeared and qualified under any approved entrance examination conducted by the authority recognised by the Government of Karnataka/VTU /the any other University of Karnataka state.

NOTE: 45% of marks in case of SC, ST and Category-I of Karnataka candidates. (Reservation is applicable only for Karnataka Candidates)

The eligibility criteria for MBA at VTU Belgaum includes:

• A valid score in Karnataka PGCET/ KMAT/ CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ GMAT or ATMA.
• A minimum of 50% aggregate in graduation from any recognised university.

There shall be an Entrance Examination (PGCET) for admission to the MBA programme at VTU Belgaum. A candidate seeking admission to MBA Programme offered in any of the Engineering Colleges affiliated with VTU shall appear for this Examination.

The expected last date to register for Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) UGET Examination will be during the month of April . ( Tentative).
