IIIT Allahabad is a tier 1 institute and IIIT Lucknow is a tier 3 institute. The academic session of IIIT Lucknow was started in 2015 by the mentor Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad campus. IIITA offers a four-year BTech as its flagship course. IIIT Allahabad has a strong research culture and offers research opportunities in various fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cybersecurity, and Information Technology. The institute also has collaborations with several industries and research organisations. Only candidates who have successfully completed their respective professional degree programmes or are enrolled in their last year or semester are eligible to apply for research programmes at IIIT Allahabad. At the time of application submission, the candidate's cumulative score, or CGPI, must have been at least 65%. Before finally enrolling in the programme, candidates must, in every case, pass with 65% marks or an equivalent cumulative grade point average. SC/ ST/ PH candidates are eligible for a 5% relaxation.
