IIT-Kharagpur has introduced a free online course on Cloud Computing for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

The eight-week programme will introduce students to the aspects of cloud computing, management, security challenges and future research. The

IIT Kharagpur free cloud computing course is AICTE-approved FDP programme, which will benefit those who have basic knowledge of computer architecture and organisation and networking. It will help students to use and explore the cloud computing platforms.

IIT Kharagpur cloud computing course curriculum

Students must note that they will be taught the following topics during the IITKGP eight-week course:

Professor Soumya K Ghosh, who has also worked for the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) in the area of geographic information system and satellite remote sensing, will conduct the course.

How to get the certificate?

After enrolment and completion of the IIT Kharagpur free online course on Cloud Computing, candidates who wish to obtain a certificate for the same will be required to register and write the proctored exam, which is scheduled to be held on October 23, 2021. In order to appear for the exam, candidates are required to deposit an exam fee of Rs 1,000. Also, the participant can get the certificate only if his/her average assignment score is greater than or equal to 10 out of 25 (>=10/25) and final proctored score is greater than or equal to 30 out of 75 (>=30/75). You will not get the certificate if any of the above mentioned criteria is not met. The certificate will carry a stamp of the National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) and IIT-Kharagpur.
