D Y Patil college of engineering akurdi - one of the best college in PCMC.
Placements: Placements was good. But core jobs were less. Minimum package was 1.8 lac and maximum was 5 lacs. 30% of students got internships. Most of the students were placed to IT companies instead of core company. College should bring maximum core companies for placements.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure was good enough but lab equipment was not properly working. Classroom was good. College should focus more on lab development rather than external infrastructure. There are 4 canteens with reasonable pricing in college campus. Classrooms were provided with projector facility but it needs to be maintained properly.
Faculty: Faculty was good and passionate about their work. Lot of extra curricular courses were held for overall growth. For students who wanted to opt for job college held personality development sessions as well as aptitude sessions. For students who want to opt for business entrepreneur cell was formed.

The college has provided good placement in 2024.
Placements: Last year, about 70% of students were placed in industries. They offer a range of value-added courses such as Ansys, CATIA, Hypermesh, 3DPLM, Autodesk, MATLAB, Abaqus, Six Sigma, SEED Infotech, and Japanese Language, ensuring students are industry-ready and globally competitive.
Infrastructure: The hostel is now under construction and will be available in one or two months, but the facilities provided by them are absolutely amazing. The college hostel boasts of its state-of-the-art amenities and ultra-modern facilities on the campus with an intake capacity of 125 students. Facilities given in the hostel are Wi-Fi connectivity, air-conditioned and spacious rooms, a medical facility, water purifiers, a parking facility, and a gym, but it is not ready yet, so it is a bit disappointing.
Faculty: Teachers for the first and second years are very helpful, supportive, and knowledgeable compared to senior faculty. They are knowledgeable but not that helpful. The curriculum is relevant but not very practical, so it doesn't make students industry-ready. The semester exams are fairly hard, so you should study regularly before exams, and the passing percentage is about 65%.
