IIT Kanpur Cutoff 2025: Check Category-wise JEE Advanced Cutoff Ranks

The category and branch-wise IIT Kanpur Cutoff 2025 based on the JEE Advanced examination is presented in this article. The cutoff details were published for admission to various BTech, BSc, and BS course branches in the form of opening and closing ranks. The qualifying ranks were out for several categories under the All India quota, like General, SC, ST, OBC, etc. 

For the General AI category, the overall cutoff ranged from 270 in the first round to 10482 in the last round. Among all the courses, the most desired one for admission was BTech CSE, in this category. Detailed cutoff information for other categories is given below.

IIT Kanpur Cutoff 2025 For General All India Category 

For this category, the overall IIT Kanpur BTech cutoff 2025 ranged from 270 to 7105. According to the last round closing ranks, the most and least competitive BTech specialisations were BTech CSE and BTech in Biological Science and Bioengineering. 

Among all the UG-level courses for this category, the BSc in Chemistry proved to be the least demanding UG-level course in the last round. This course had a last round cutoff of 10482. For more details, students can check the table below. 

IIT Kanpur Cutoff 2025 For OBC All India Category 

The IIT Kanpur OBC cutoff 2025 in the first round ranged from 142 to 4489. In the last round, the closing rank varied between 142 and 4786. According to both rounds, the most sought-after course specialisations turned out to be BTech CSE, with a cutoff of 142 in both rounds.

IIT Kanpur Cutoff 2025 For SC All India Category 

Admissions at IIT Kanpur, in the last round, were the most competitive for BTech CSE, with a closing cutoff of 70. Other than this, other branches that were also competitive in the last round were BTech in Electrical Engineering and BS in Statistics and Data Science, with the cutoff being 430 and 464, respectively.

Students with a rank above 1K in the last round could choose specialisations like BTech in Aerospace Engineering or BTech in Chemical Engineering. IIT Kanpur Cutoff 2025 For ST All India Category 

The institute accepts the JEE Advanced entrance exam results, followed by JoSAA counselling rounds for admission to multiple BTech, BS and BSc course branches. Among all the offered courses, BTech CSE was the most popular, with a cutoff of 42 in the first round and 46 in the last round.

Other popular branches with a slightly relaxed cutoff included BTech in Electrical Engineering, which had closing ranks in the first and last rounds being 197 and 199, respectively. IIT Kanpur Cutoff 2025 For EWS All India Category 

According to the JEE Advanced counselling results of the last round, the top three most sought-after BTech specialisations were BTech CSE, followed by BTech in Electrical Engineering, and BTech in Mechanical Engineering, with closing ranks of 50, 234 and 550, respectively. 

In the BSc course specialisations, the highest-demanding branches turned out to be BSc in Mathematics and Scientific Computing, followed by BSc in Economics and BSc in Physics. These branches had closing cutoffs of 251, 689 and 1637, respectively. 

IIT Kanpur Cutoff 2025 For PWD All India Category 

In comparison to all the previously mentioned categories, IIT Kanpur admissions were the most competitive for this category, with the lowest first and last rounds ranks. The most competitive branch, other than BTech CSE, turned out to be BTech in  Electrical Engineering, which recorded a cutoff rank of 105 in both the first and final rounds.
