Good for placements, infrastructure is average, not bad. Slightly underrated IIT.
Placements: 80% of students got placements in 1 month of the placement season. The lowest package is 8 LPA, the highest package is 52 LPA, and the average package is 14 LPA. Microsoft, Google, Sprinklr, Fico, Grow, Zomato, Meesho, BPCL, Bajaj Auto, Standard Chartered, ICICI Bank, and EXL are the top recruiters. 30% of students got internships. The top roles offered are Software Developer, Business Analyst, and Data Scientist.
Infrastructure: Classes and the library are good, with good quality Wi-Fi. Mess food is of average quality, better compared to other colleges. Old hostel rooms are not so good. Newly made hostels have better infrastructure. Sports facilities are quite good. You have all types of sports present on the campus.
Faculty: The course is good. It provides you with the freedom of learning what you like. Faculty members are very helpful. They encourage you to go for higher studies and research. Semester exams are of moderate difficulty and comparatively easier compared to other IITs.
Other: College fests are quite good. People learn and enjoy a lot.

IIT BHU, The best of the most.
Placements: IIT BHU is famous for its placement records. The first session of placements conclude and the average package is about 30 LPA. The highest package for this session is 1.67 crore. Almost all the top companies like Google and Microsoft come to this college. The placements are not the problem for this college.
Infrastructure: One thing in which my college lags is infrastructure. It is not as great as other IITs. They are working heavily on improving it. New hostels are being made. Canteen services are being improved. Wi-Fi is good. AC is also being installed.
Faculty: IIT is IIT because of its curriculum, its course structure, and teaching facility which makes us industry ready, therefore giving such high placements. The faculty members here are very highly qualified and skilled, some of them are very helpful. Semester exams are generally not so tough but you atleast need to study 2 weeks before the exam to get decent grades.
Other: The club culture here at IIT BHU is very amazing. A sports club any science club or any cultural club, everyone is given importance. Fests are crazy. You will have to choose which programme you want to attend because many are going on at the same time and you will be flooded. So its overall a great feeling to be here in this college.

Absolutely satisfied with the good faculty members and placements.
Placements: About 90 percent of the students in my course (mechanical branch) are placed. The highest package is 3.4 crore per annum. The lowest package is 8 LPA. The average package is 10 LPA. About 80 percent of students get internships in college. Top recruiting companies are HPCL and ISRO.
Infrastructure: The college has very good Wi-Fi. It has clean and well-equipped labs. There are very good, nice, and clean classrooms. The quality of the food is not that satisfying but somewhat okay. They mostly cook potatoes. The library is very good. Medical and sports facilities are average.
Faculty: Teachers and professors are very helpful, highly qualified, and highly knowledgeable. Exams are very difficult and simple if we study from the beginning. They are hard if we neglect them. The pass percentage highly depends on the subject professor.

Satisfied because of faculty members and good placements in 2024.
Placements: 65% of students are placed in the first placement season this year in my mechanical engineering bachelor of technology course. The highest salary is 54 LPA. The minimum salary is 7 LPA. The average package offered in mechanical engineering course is 20 LPA. Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and Goldman Sachs are among the top recruiters. About 20% of students from the mechanical engineering department at IIT BHU in Varanasi get internships at companies like Google, Tata, and Adobe. The top roles offered include data analyst, finance, and SDE.
Infrastructure: There is a very small room which you have to share with two more students. There is no AC or cooler in your room. Only AC is in your common room which is too small and already being filled with students. Dogs and cats move in the corridors. Foods are of average quality in mess and canteen. Medical facilities are quite good as I have experienced. Sports and games facilities are also good. There is a good Wi-Fi network in hostels, classrooms, and library.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. There is 50-50 percentage of teachers who have good teaching quality and those who have poor teaching quality. This course curriculum is relevant. Difficult level cannot be described as it is relatively new. If you want to get a good CPI, you have to study. There is a good passing percentage of students in my course.

Good faculty and placement, average infrastructure and facilities .
Placements: My branch is mechanical engineering and I will pass out in 2028 Nearly 80 percent students got placed. And the highest package is 51 lacks this year average package offered in my course is 21 lacks top recruiters are microsoft, qualcomm, sprinklr, piramal, navi ect Overall the placement is above average.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of our college is average as all the buildings are very old sometimes Wi-Fi doesn't work at all sometimes it's good medical facilities are good there is health care centre and hospital also in our college and for sports there are big grounds. Mess and canteen food is average taste is average but they provide video range of options .
Faculty: Yes there are great teachers highly qualified and they have great knowledge And the course structure is nice it makes students industry ready the semester exams in the college is quite difficult But it mainly depends on the preparation of the Students.
Other: The college provide scholarships for need and there are so many extra curricular activities and the college conducts mango Events and fests.

My college life at IIT BHU.
Placements: The placement percentage of our college is very high. IIT BHU stands among the top five IITs in terms of placement. About 75% to 80% of students get placed through campus recruitment. The average placement package ranges between 22 to 30 LPA, depending on the branch and the skills of the students.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is installed throughout the campus, and there are three main lecture theatres. The common library, called Srinivas Deshpande Library, has over one lakh books. The campus has three grounds named Rajputana ground, IIT BHU Gymkhana, and ADV ground.
Faculty: Professors here are highly qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable, with great insight into their fields. They are quite approachable, and you can contact them whenever needed. Five to six TAs are allotted for each subject. Semester exams in our college range from medium to hard. The passing percentage is nearly 40% but depends on the difficulty of the exam.
Other: IITs are known for their campus life, and IIT BHU is no exception. We have Kashi Yatra, the annual cultural fest of IIT BHU, Technex, the techno-management fest, and Jagriti, the annual fest of the Social Service Council.

Good infrastructure and placements.
Placements: In my course, 70 to 80% of students got placed. This year, the highest package is 1.65 CPA. The lowest is 6 LPA. The average is 19.2 LPA. Top companies are Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Infosys, and many more. 40 to 50% of people got internships. In my course, people can go into government jobs like railways and civil services. They can even get a job as professors.
Infrastructure: We have a very well-maintained library. The library has a reading room so that students can study. Wi-Fi is also installed in every building and hostel. The food in the mess is edible. It gives different meals on different days. Cleanliness is maintained. It has a health center for students. It provides medicines for free. We have three huge grounds at IITBHU. We also have three gyms for only women.
Faculty: Professors are very helpful. Mainly our professors have degrees from top IITs. Exams are challenging. If you are studying regularly, it is very easy to score decent marks. Professors are very helpful, so you can approach them whenever you need.
Other: I'm very fascinated with automobiles, so I chose this course. I wish the demand for mechanical engineering increases so that more fascinating things would be made. We have Kashiyatra a socio-cultural event where the most famous celebrities come and perform. A sports event named Spardha, a technical event named Techfest, Jagriti, and many more events are held.

Life-changing experience at IIT.
Placements: In the mechanical engineering branch, there are two types of placement: core and non-core placement. About 78% of students got placed in 2023. Out of some non-placed students, some went abroad for higher education, and some joined IIMs to do an MBA, while others got placed outside the campus. For core placement, there are companies like TATA, Birla, Mahindra, etc. For non-core, there are MNCs like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, JP Morgan, De Shaw, and many more.
Infrastructure: The mechanical engineering branch needs more practical knowledge and hands-on experience for valuable learning. We have engineering drawing and machine drawing labs. Then, we have manufacturing practices lab, supercomputer lab, and machinery. Apart from that, there is a common library for all students with over 1 lakh books, and there are e-resources too. The institute also has 24*7 Wi-Fi facilities. Our institute deeply focuses on physical activities and sports. We have SAC (Student Activity Center) for indoor games. We have Gymkhana, Adv Ground, and Rajputana Ground for volleyball, cricket, hockey, basketball, and kho-kho.
Faculty: Faculty members here are quite supportive and helpful. They are highly qualified researchers and are very knowledgeable. They are willing to help you even after class hours. Exams in IITs are quite tough, but there is a relatively fair marking scheme, so you have to go with the flow.
Other: IITs are known for their fests. Every festival, irrespective of religion, is celebrated in a grand way here. We also have a socio-cultural fest, techno-management fest, freshers fest, and many more events taking place every week. The campus is quite large and green.

If you want to be in core sector, Mechanical in IIT, BHU is good. IIT, BHU is a very old college, and branches like Civil and Mechanical are best. If you want to join non-core after graduation, opt for Chemical at IIT KGP. Placements at IIT BHU are very good in CSE and core branches.

In my opinion, IIT BHU is better for mechanical engineering then IIT-Hyderabad because IIT BHU provides good quality of mechanical faculty members and good course curriculum.
