My experiences in my college.

Placements: As my branch is CSE, there is almost 89% placements and 93% internships in IIT BHU, and there are many companies which come to our campus. Top recruiters are Rubrik, Quadeye, Graviton, Microsoft, Google, Goldman Sachs, Sprinkler, and many more companies like these. Mostly, there will be SDE or quant roles and sometimes roles like product manager and all.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is decent. Our campus is old, but the labs and classrooms are in perfect condition. The library facilities are also good. It will be open mostly at night times too. The quality of food is okay, and the rooms are also pretty decent. We have 2 very large grounds and 2 large grounds; overall, it was good.

Faculty: The professors here are all very good. They are very knowledgeable. My course is very relevant and has many subjects providing basics for everything. The difficult level in exams mostly depends on professors and the preparation level of students. We get grades based on relative marking, not absolute.

Other: I personally like Maths, so I have studied for JEE and got a seat in CSE. The fests here are all very good. There are many types like cultural, tech, film festivals, and everything. You can get scholarships based on your performances and all.

Review of IIT BHU, Varanasi - Indian Institute of Technology.

Placements: Almost all students were placed. The highest domestic salary package offered is around 1.5 CPA, and the average is around 30 LPA-35 LPA. Graviton, Google, and Sprinklr are top recruiters. Almost all students got internships. Software developer and product analyst roles are in demand.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is provided all over the campus at normal speed. Labs are equipped with computers. Some classrooms are equipped with air conditioners, but some are not. The library is well equipped with almost all course-related books, and the study area is quite peaceful. The mess and canteen provide good food. Hostels are clean and have elevators.

Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, and many students do exploratory projects under them. The course curriculum is quite relevant, as students can explore various arenas of computer science and build the required skills. The semester exams are of moderate difficulty.

Review of Indian Institute of Technology, Varanasi.

Placements: All the students who apply for placements get placed. The highest salary package offered this year was 1.2 CPA and the lowest salary package is 7 LPA. Top recruiters are Google, Sprinklr, Graviton, and many others. Around 70% to 80% of students get internships in our college. The roles offered are mostly SDE.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our campus is good. It is an open campus and the buildings are very old. Many new buildings are under construction to improve the rating of infrastructure. Our hostel is newly established and provides many new facilities.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are very supportive, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is very good and relevant. It helps students to get better job opportunities. Semester exams are easy. All the students pass the exams.

Other: I chose CSE because it is one of the top courses in India. Attendance system should be improved. All the events and fests organised in our college are very good.

Best college with cultural environment.

Placements: I am currently studying but a batch currently passed, almost all students were placed. The highest was 1.2 crore from MNC department, the lowest was I guess 11 LPA and average was 24.2 LPA. More than 300 students got PPO Top roles are still SDE, consultancy, data analyst and a ver few are in core sector.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available throughout campus but Wi-Fi calling is very poor. Labs are very good, some machines are more than 10 crore worth. Many classroom are not Hitech but okay type. The food in the mess is very awesome and the price is 12000 per semester lower than any IIT. There is separate health centre for students. There are three large ground in our college which contain all games.

Faculty: According to me academic is less burdened in our institute. Teachers are very helpful and almost all professors have done some kind of research work. Some courses are there which seems to be irrelevant but are useful in the long run. Semester exams are a bit challenging and everyone marks are low so no problem happens.

Other: Considering my rank this was the best college which I can get. Here the coding culture is very good so joined it. According to the data more than seventy thousand people attended our fest 'Kashiyatra'.

It has the best facilities, teachers, a lush green campus and a good placement percentage.

Placements: Around 90% of the students got placed in our branch. The highest salary package offered is 37 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is 6 LPA, and the average salary package offered is around 13 LPA. While the highest salary package offered till now is 1.39 crore per annum and 2.03 crore per annum by Google. Top recruiting companies are HP, Paytm, Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Google, Microsoft and many others.

Infrastructure: The hostels' building is below expectations, but all other facilities are quite impressive. Labs, classrooms and the library are perfect. The campus of IIT BHU is very beautiful and lush green. Food facilities are the best, and the canteen's food is good and at a low price. Sports and medical facilities are also perfect.

Faculty: There is some pressure on academics with many assignments, quizzes and viva. Labs are arranged for students, but overall, they are essential for students' development. Teachers are well-qualified and teach very well. Tutors and lab assistants are very friendly and supportive, as they should be. The course curriculum is much relevant and designed very sharply, and it is placements and skills oriented.

Other: IIT BHU is also famous for its spirituality, and its high placements make my mind choose this course. The best thing is I always want to become a coder. I wish our college to reduce the pressure of other subjects so that I can give more time to my interest, but it is manageable. Kashiyaatra is the best fest in our college.

The college provides good placements, infrastructure, and faculty.

Placements: Our college has a placement cell. Placements for our senior batch were really good. A lot of companies visited the campus and offered pretty good salary packages. The highest salary package offered was nearly 1 crore per annum. The average salary package offered was nearly 12 LPA. During the internships, the highest stipend offered was nearly 2 lacs. The lowest stipend offered was nearly Rs. 10,000.

Infrastructure: The college has a good infrastructure. Recently our campus got a supercomputer. Our campus has a high-speed LAN and Wi-Fi facility. There are a lot of opportunities to explore in sports. The quality of the food served in the canteen is good. Hostels rooms are average, and labs are good.

Faculty: Faculty members in our college are good. Recently, young and talented professors were hired. They are knowledgeable and helpful. We have a good student to faculty ratio. The course curriculum is useful, and we will get to do projects under professors. Moreover, we get a lot of exposure to research areas.

Other: We have a technical fest and cultural fest mainly. They have good prizes and a lot of students from many colleges come to participate in it.

Engineering physics is jack of all trades, master of your own interest.

Placements: In 2014, engineering physics was the first branch to be 100% placed, even before CSE (apart from guys who went to Caltech and Georgia tech for PhD). All the ten people of engineering physics were placed in different streams which is a clear indication how diverse the branch is. Placements were in electronics field (Eaton), trading, coding (software developer) (IBM, Cognizant), coaching industry, analyst (Mu-Sigma). Packages are always changing, but for our batch, the average for my branch was 7 LPA. All the companies which come for electronics, electrical and CSE, are open to all the engineering branches. But for physics, unless they are core companies, the students can't attend.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is average as compared to dream IITs, but still, you are going to miss it later. New hostels are coming at a fast pace, and old ones are huge but with small rooms. There are 200 rooms per hostel, and there are 4 messes available per hostel, catering 100 students per mess. There are lots of gardens and trees inside the hostel itself which is refreshing. College is huge with many amenities. The old buildings have everything British era lathe to the latest equipment in microwave lab and optical fibre labs. The local internet is awesome, and restrictions over the internet improve the bypassing skills of the students. Sports and games are available. What else do you look for? It is all there, and you can avail all facilities of BHU campus too.

Faculty: No one is going to harass you for 80% attendance in reality. Teachers are awesome if you want to do research, but classroom teaching is average. Many teachers are highly qualified but are research oriented. Everyone knows that you will do what you want to do, and all you need is guidance. All the teachers will give you exactly that, apart from fulfilling the formality of teaching in the class. Some teachers are definitely below IIT level, and they can be avoided/dealt with easily. If everything were easy, it wouldn't be fun.

Other: Main events are Kashi Yatra, Technex and Spardha. Apart from it, all departments have their own frats too which can be inter-branch or intra-branch or even national level, depending on the event. The campus is happening, and you will love it after a few months of stay. You can't literally, visit all the places on the campus in 4/5 years.

IIT BHU Varanasi is a very good place if one wants to makes his/her career.

Placements: Placements start in the month of August with written and online exams, while all the interviews take place from December 1st onwards. As far as computer Science is concerned, placement is 100% for the past 4 years. This time the highest package was of 1.35 crore given by Microsoft Redmund. Average package of CS is 22 LPA. Almost all the companies opened for CS. Some big names are Microsoft, Oracle, Goldman Sachs, Tower Research, Intel, De Shaw, Flipkart SDE, Myntra, JP Morgan, Cisco, Standard Chartered, Samsung and many more. All the companies which are opened for CS either come for Developer profile or network engineer profile. For an internship in 3rd year, companies visit from the late July, and unlike placements, they hire students on the day they come to college. Mostly process consist of one online exam followed by interviews. Maximum stipend this year was of De shaw which is of 1 Lacs per month, and an average stipend for CS was 40k per month. The placement cell consists of the student body and one senior Professor who deals with the companies. It is very useful for students appearing for placements and internship.

Infrastructure: The whole campus has its Wi-Fi network, and students can easily access it through LAN wire or Wi-Fi. Connectivity is good with high-speed internet. The classrooms still can be better. They are still of the old design, but slowly they are improving. Labs in CS department are fully air-conditioned. The library will be open till 9 pm for the students, and on holidays it opens till 5 pm. It opens at 9 in the morning. Almost all the required books are there in good number. Students are given health diary by which they can go to health centre of the institute and get treatment free of cost. When coming to sports, it has separate grounds for each sport. Every evening students sweat there. There is a separate college gym too. Hostel rooms - one room for two people. Although rooms are not so big, with time everyone loves their hostel. Food quality is best among all IITs and canteens are opened from 3 pm to 3 am.

Faculty: In IIT BHU, faculty members are all PhD completed. They are specialised in different fields, and some of them still do research. All the faculty members are helpful if u go for any doubt or go to do any project/research under them. All the professors and associate professors are highly qualified from some of the biggest universities in the world. The student to faculty ratio is around 15:1 here. As far as CS department is considered, its curriculum is well designed and useful for students in research as well as in industry too.

Other: Apart from everything our college hosts one sports fest every year in October. Its name is spardha, where more than 1500 participants come from different technological colleges in the country. Then in mid-January, our annual cultural fest, Kashiyatra comes where many participants from outside come and showcase their talents. Whole 3 days many events going on, and every night there is a promotion where some big celebrities come. Then in mid-February, our annual techno-management fest, Technex comes which attracts a large no. For techies and geeks around the country. Many technical and management events take place in it.
