MSc at IIT Gandhinagar is offered as a regular full-time programme of a two-year duration across four specialisations. Admission to this course is based on IIT JAM followed by CCMN counselling except for Cognitive Science specialisation. - BSc and BTech students from select colleges and NITs, respectively who will graduate in 2024 and are among the top five rank holders in the departments at the end of their pre-final year and final year are eligible to apply for Early Admit MSc.
- BTech students from IITs who will graduate in 2024 with a CPI/ CGPA of not less than 6.0 at the end of their third year are also eligible to apply

IIT Gandhinagar MSc admission takes place through the IIT JAM entrance exam and CCMN Counselling. Candidates can follow the step-by-step guide given below to apply for admission to the MSc programme at the university:
STEP 1: Apply for IIT JAM entrance exam
To apply for admission into the programme candidates have to apply for IIT Joint Admission Test for Masters through the exam website. Candidates also need to pay an application fee (non-refundable) in online mode only. Candidates can have a look at the documents required through the list below:

- Scanned image of signature (JPEG format)

STEP 2: Appear for CCMN Counselling & Interview
Once candidates have a valid IIT JAM score, they must appear for CCMN Counselling to apply for IIT Gandhinagar MSc admission. Candidates who are selected will be called for an interview based on their past academic records and IIT JAM score. Therefore, students must furnish a hard copy of the application form with a photograph and all the required documents in original (testimonials, certificates, publications, work experience, and research/ professional experience) at the interview time.
