IIT Guwahati M.Tech CSE review.

Placements: Almost all students from our course were placed in different MNCs. The highest package offered in our course was Rs. 1.02 crores. The average package was around 22 LPA. The lowest package was 10 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Google, Microsoft, Oracle, etc.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for our course were good. A modern classroom, Wi-Fi facility, and library with a good collection of books were available. Labs were well-equipped with instruments. A medical facility was available. The canteen and mess food was good. The sports ground was very well maintained.

Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality of our faculty members was project-oriented. The course curriculum was relevant. Students became career-oriented and were ready for industrial jobs. The semester examination was moderate.

IIT University, Guwahati.

Placements: We are IIT students, so definitely each one got a placement. So many M.Tech students have joined the CSE course. Highest package is about 2.4 crore, and lowest package is 35 Lacs. So many top MNC companies came to our college, they are Google, Microsoft, Flipkart, Amazon, etc.

Infrastructure: In IIT, the best infrastructure is placed. We have labs for every department and for every course. We have all AC classrooms and a well-stocked library. We have Wi-Fi available here. We have so many canteens here, and a medical hospital is available. We also have sports for any year students.

Faculty: We have the best faculty here, and they are very friendly with us. They teach classes very nicely, and the explanation is super. We have weekly 3 to 4 events. Seniors conduct the events. We also join these events and participate. Our dean conducts exams very strictly.

IIT Guwahati - A great college .

Placements: Almost 85-90 percent students from my college got into one or more companies. Many big companies like IBM, Google, Amazon visits for the campus placement as it is an IIT. So we got benefit for being an IITian. The average package bagged by students in M.Teach was around 15LPA.

Infrastructure: The building and infrastructure of our college hostel is very great. Also the mess is great we get variety of food through out the week. The hostel is very NEET and clean also there is separate hostel for girls and boys and each hostel have security guards .

Faculty: The professor in our college were highly professional and knowledgeable. They helps a lot not only in our college exams but during the placement season. They possess high practical experience in the field of computer Science and engineering. I am very satisfied with the faculty here.

Other: As It is an IIT you will surely get benefitted from the name of college. Also there is a lot of on campus placement opportunities .

The best B. Teach college in all IIT.

Placements: Almost 85% of students got placed. The highest package is 1 crore, and the average salary is 25 LPA in my course. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Uber, JPMC, and Google. About 20% of students got internships, and they got it in Amazon, Uber, and JPMC. The top roles offered are software development and consultant.

Infrastructure: The facilities are really good. The infrastructure is amazing. It has a big campus with a playground and different buildings for academics and administration. The hostel is quite good. We have a mess which provides 3 times meals then there is a gym. Canteens are available 24 hours. There is a separate hospital for the college people on campus.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified. They have studied at IITs and foreign universities. The course is relevant for engineering and someone interested in Chemistry. The semester exams are difficult and competitive. The pass percentage is a minimum of 40%. They are also very well qualified. The exam structure is made so that there is not too much weightage on the end-semester. The marks are distributed well throughout the semester, and the grading is a little bad for a few courses.

Other: I chose this course because I had an interest in Chemistry. My JEE rank allowed this branch in the top 7 IITs. I think more labs can be introduced to understand the course better. We have one cultural and one technical fest called Alcheringa and Techniche respectively.

Amazing institute because of excellent placements.

Placements: Students are eligible for placements in their final year of B.Tech/M.Tech. There are around 120 software companies who visit the campus every year for recruitment. These also contain the top-tech companies such as Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Oracle, etc. The top offers made were Microsoft, Oracle, Paytm, VMware, Walmart, Goldman Sachs, Adobe, SAP, and Intel. The average CTC is 24.89 LPA, and the average base package is 15.06 LPA (in-hand salary without stock). The highest CTC is 43.36 LPA. The lowest CTC is 12 LPA and the lowest base package is 9.5 LPA seen every year. This year also there is 96% of placements for M.Tech, CSE which continues from the last 4-5 years.

Infrastructure: Every hostel provides single rooms to each student (boy) (I don't know about girls hostel) with each room having fast internet access via ethernet cable. The food provided is average and eatable. Most students have a heavy breakfast (which has a good menu and is generally good). Every hostel has its canteen and juice center. It also has indoor games (table tennis, carrom, pool, and foosball) with a small gym, TV room, music room, reading room and a stationary. Overall, hostels are new and have good facilities.

Faculty: Faculty members to students ratio can be told 1:10. Also, for every 3 students there is 1 faculty advisory. Faculty members and students relationship is very nice. There are many faculty members I like because of their kind nature. Course curriculum is extremely relevant and industry-oriented. Exams are conducted in 4 phase. Quiz 1, mid-sem, quiz 2, and end-sem.

I loved my 2 years of stay at IIT Guwahati.

Placements: The percentage of students who get campus placements every year is 97%. The highest salary package offered in my course was 75 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 9 LPA. The average salary package offered was 26 LPA. Internships are given to all the students, and we also get chances for some industry visits when necessary. Many good companies visit the college for placements. Top companies that recruit students are Google, Tata Consultancy Services, Cognite, Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, etc.

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure and management are very good. I love my stay at this university. Classrooms and labs are good and neatly maintained. Wi-Fi is present all over the campus. The library is very big and has all the required books, materials, etc. Hostels are also present inside the campus and they are well maintained and in neat condition. Mess food is served daily to the students and it is very hygienic but the taste can be improved more. Medical facilities along with an ambulance service are present inside the campus. The campus also has enough space and facilities for playing sports and games.

Faculty: Faculty members here are passed out from very good universities and colleges. They have good experience in their respective subjects. They also stay in a good way and maintain healthy relationships with the students they are teaching. The quality of teaching is very good. The course is designed well by the faculty members with a good number of assignments and tests which keeps no stress and burden on students. Students can easily clear their semester exams. The pass percentage for the course is 35%. The minimum GPA required is 5, so students can clear the course without any difficulties.

Other: I chose this course because I really love computer science. It has good placement opportunities and a great future. The course is well-designed and does not require any changes or improvements. Campus life is amazing. The college organises numerous events and fests each semester. The campus is surrounded by greenery and has an environment-friendly atmosphere. Many extracurricular activities are conducted on campus. It is well-connected to nearby places. The university also provides scholarships to students based on their parent's income and semester grades.

The campus is unbelievable and amazing.

Placements: Due to a recurrence in the IT sector, placements were low compared to other batches before 2023. Companies such as Texas Instruments, Hughes Software, and then public sector companies like C-Dot, BHEL, etc., visit our campus for placements. Only a few were placed in the year of my last year. Packages like 10 LPA to 15 LPA were offered by the companies to those students. For M.Tech, they provide internships, which mostly involve B.Tech students in their lab assignments and evaluation programming assignments.

Infrastructure: The college is in the northeast, and the connectivity to the rest of India is less. So, there were fewer female students on campus. Hostels were good. Each student is given an individual room with furniture. Each hostel has a mess, a canteen, and a TV room. The food is fairly good. It takes some time to adapt to the food provided by them for other state students.

Faculty: The M.Tech program has had three semesters. While the first semester had only subjects, students must now focus on their thesis/project work beginning in the second semester. The institute stitched the first semester course that it is helpful during project work in the next semester. Exam patterns vary from written tests to assignments and open-book exams. The pattern is chosen by subject professors. Assignments too weigh some part of the student's evaluation.

Other: I chose this course because I had done B.Tech in CSE, so I wanted to continue studying in the same sector.
