No, JEE exams are not mandatory for BSc admissions at IIT Madras. Candidates who wish to take admissions into the BSc course at IIT Madras must appear for IISER entrance examination. The admissions into IIT Madras BSc courses are decided on merit basis where, the scores obtained by candidates in the IISER entrance exam are taken into account to decide the admissions.

DOMS IIT Madras cutoff for the Management courses including MBA is based on valid CAT scores. For IIT Madras MBA admission, students must meet both the overall CAT cut off percentile and the sectional cut off. So, candidates seeking admission to any of the BTech course must secure a rank upto 171 to be eligible for IIT Madras
