Given below are the important dates of admissions at IIT Madras:
- GATE 2027 City allotment notification for admission to the ME/MTech and Phd will be announced on Jan 4, 2027. The exam will be held from Feb 6 to Feb 7, 2027; Feb 13 to Feb 14, 2027; and Feb 20 to Feb 21, 2027.
- IIT JAM 2027 registration process for admission to the MSc course has concluded. The exam will be conducted on Feb 14, 2027.
- JEE Main 2027 session 1 online application form is now available on the official website for admission to the BTech, BArch and BPlan courses till Nov 22, 2026. The exam will be held on Jan 22, 2027 to Jan 24, 2027 and Jan 28, 2027 to Jan 30, 2027 respectively.
- The CEED 2027 online registration for admission with regular fee will be ongoing till Nov 5, 2026. Further exam will be conducted in offline mode on Jan 17, 2027.

No, the IIT Madras admissions for regular degree such as BTech, MBA and MTech are closed now. However, the admissions for BS degree in Data Science and Applications are currently open. The last date to register is January 29, 2027.

With 98.3% in Class 12, you can easily meet the academic board criteria for IITs (65% required for ST). Since clearing JEE Advanced is mandatory for IIT admission, on the basis of JEE Main score of 56.77 percentile, you likely did not cross the ST category qualifying cutoff to appear for JEE Advance
