The cutoff trend for B.Tech at IIT Madras - Indian Institute of Technology has been increasing in the recent years. IIT Madras is one of the leading Engineering Institute in India. The Institute offers good placements to its students. During the placement drive 2025, median package offered to students of BTech branch such as CS, EE and CH was 46 LPA, 22.5 LPA and 17.4 LPA. No—if you scored 44 when the cutoff is 45 in JEE Main, you would not qualify for JEE Advanced. Without qualifying JEE Advanced, admission to Indian Institute of Technology Madras is not possible, since IITs admit students only through that route.

With a 98.5 percentile in JEE Main, you have a strong chance of getting into good NITs, but admission to National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli depends on your category, home state quota, branch preference, and yearly cutoff trends. For highly competitive branches like CSE at NIT Trichy
