The answer is both yes & no. It is possible to get IIT Tirupati admission without the GATE entrance examination, but in other courses than MTech. Yes, IIT Tirupati has 6 multistoried hostel blocks for the students. The hostel rooms are allocated on a sharing basis. The hostels are separate for girls and boys, faculty, and staff members. IIT Tirupati hostels are spacious and have study areas, Wi-Fi, and round-the-clock water and electricity facilities. Each hostel is designed with recreational rooms and a strong focus on safety. All the hostel rooms are equipped with basic furniture, such as chairs, study tables, cots, almirahs, drying stands, etc.. For recreational purposes, each hostel block has a common room where the students have access to TVs, indoor board games, newspapers, and magazines. Hostels of IIT Tirupati are fully wifi enabled. It has a rooftop solar system for hot water, RO for purified drinking water, water coolers, washing machines, and other necessary facilities.
