Excellent placements, supportive faculty, and a lively campus environment.

Placements: In our batch (B.Teach CSE, 2022–2026), around 85% of students were placed. The highest package offered was 18 LPA, the lowest was around 3.5 LPA, and the average was 6.8 LPA. Top recruiters included TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, Cognizant, Amazon, and Capgemini. Around 70% of students secured internships in companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte, and IBM. The most common roles offered were software developer, data analyst, system engineer, and associate consultant.

Infrastructure: Our course department has well-equipped computer labs, high-speed Wi-Fi, air-conditioned classrooms with smart boards, and a rich library with digital resources. The hostel facilities are comfortable, with spacious rooms, 24/7 water and electricity, and clean washrooms. The mess provides hygienic and varied food, and the canteen offers multiple snack options. There are medical facilities with an on-campus doctor and emergency care, along with sports grounds, indoor game areas, and gym facilities for overall development.

Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified, approachable, and knowledgeable, providing clear explanations and practical insights. The curriculum is well-structured, updated with industry trends, and includes hands-on projects to enhance employability. Semester exams are moderately difficult, focusing on conceptual understanding and application. The pass percentage is generally above 90%, as most students are well-prepared through regular assessment and guidance.

Other: I am from the B.Teach CSE batch of 2022–2026. I chose this course because of my interest in technology, coding, and problem-solving, along with the wide career opportunities it offers. The best aspects are the updated curriculum, supportive faculty, and good placement opportunities. I wish there were more industry tie-ups, advanced lab equipment, and frequent hands-on workshops. The campus hosts vibrant fests, hackathons, and cultural events, with an active crowd in both academics and extracurriculars. The location has good connectivity, pleasant surroundings, and offers scholarship support for meritorious students. Overall, it's a well-balanced environment for learning and growth.

Good placements, infrastructure, and libraries in 2025.

Placements: Recently, Cognizant hired almost 10 students from our batch. Among them, one got the GenC Next offer with a 9 LPA package, and the rest are 4 LPA. Another 10 to 15 students get offers from Infosys, with 1 receiving a 9.6 LPA package. Others also get internships and training. After completing the internship, they are full-time employees (FTE).

Infrastructure: Our academic building has a Wi-Fi connection that provides 100+ Mbps speed. The project labs also have ethernet cables for even faster internet access. There is a separate lab for CSE students where they can use desktop setups configured with i7 10th-gen processors.

Faculty: Faculty members are good. Exams are mostly in offline mode. In semester exams, most of us score more than 7.5 SGPA. The number of students with backlogs is around 5 to 7 out of 60 students.

Other: Scholarships like Aikyashree and SVMCM can be applied for, and Rs.60,000 is provided. Besides that, lots of events and fests are held, even name them all. Some of them are Dandiya Night, DJ Night, Food Fest, Anime Fest, and so on. At the end of the year, well-known music bands are invited, and a fest called Anweshan is held. Many curricular activities are held in our department, including hackathons, art, singing, and many more.

If you are in college to enjoy your college life then you can come here.

Placements: Around 65% of CS students are getting on-campus placements, and around 58% to 60% of IT students are getting on-campus placements. EIE students are also getting on-campus placements at around 65%. The mechanical students are facing a big problem because we have a small mechanical branch, and they are not getting proper on-campus placements. It was around 40% to 50%. The highest package was 14 LPA, and the lowest was 1.5 LPA.

Infrastructure: Our hostel rooms are not new, they are too old, especially our first and second-year hostels. The hostels are the worst. The second-year hostel does not have any mirrors in the bathrooms. I can't say they were dirty. The first-year hostel is a little bit good, but you have to stay with four people in a room, and the hostel mess is not proper, so I will not recommend this hostel. The second-year Wi-Fi is too slow, and we have to face no internet for a minimum of 6 months of the year. The labs are too old; classrooms are okay.

Faculty: No, the teachers are not helpful at all. Before the exam, they will not take any extra classes for you. No, it's not good. We are studying around 52 subjects in my whole course. I don't know where I will apply them. Our exams are too difficult; 50% of us have backlogs.

Other: It has various prospects. We are studying many irrelevant subjects. Our college should cut them off and add some good subjects which we need in our corporate life.

This is the best government college in West Bengal. Bestest college to be an engineer.

Placements: 90% of students get placed every year from this college. The highest package is 1.2 crores per annum, the lowest is 3 LPA, and the average is 12 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Faang and Maang from my course. There are students like 15-20 who cracked the internships in 3rd-year. Roles offered are software engineer and developer.

Infrastructure: Everything is available here, free Wi-Fi, the best labs, classrooms, and the library is awesome. Hostel is best to live your hostel life. It will give you the best phase of your life. The quality of food is above average. No one will face problem for this reason. Food is best.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. All of them are passed out from IITs or any other foreign renowned colleges. Course curriculum is relevant. Everyone knows Jadavpur students are the best. Semester exams are difficult because we chose the difficult degree for study.

A Comprehensive Review of MAKAUT: Placements, academics, and infrastructure.

Placements: 70-80% of students get placement. The highest package is 12 LPA, and the lowest package is 3 LPA. The top recruiting companies visiting our college are Infosys, Wipro, and Whirpool. There is very less scope for internships, our college does not provide any type of internship guidance.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is too good. Wi-Fi and hostel facilities are on the top level. There is no AC in classrooms. The library environment is well and has AC. The canteen and mess food quality is too bad. Sports and games facilities are average, but not too good.

Faculty: Some teachers are helpful, but most teachers are annoying. Course curriculum is too ancient which doesn't make students industry-ready. Semester exams are too difficult here, even in the CSE department, it's like impossible to pass the exam of some subject in the 3rd semester.
