Good placements, infrastructure, and libraries in 2025.

Placements: Recently, Cognizant hired almost 10 students from our batch. Among them, one got the GenC Next offer with a 9 LPA package, and the rest are 4 LPA. Another 10 to 15 students get offers from Infosys, with 1 receiving a 9.6 LPA package. Others also get internships and training. After completing the internship, they are full-time employees (FTE).

Infrastructure: Our academic building has a Wi-Fi connection that provides 100+ Mbps speed. The project labs also have ethernet cables for even faster internet access. There is a separate lab for CSE students where they can use desktop setups configured with i7 10th-gen processors.

Faculty: Faculty members are good. Exams are mostly in offline mode. In semester exams, most of us score more than 7.5 SGPA. The number of students with backlogs is around 5 to 7 out of 60 students.

Other: Scholarships like Aikyashree and SVMCM can be applied for, and Rs.60,000 is provided. Besides that, lots of events and fests are held, even name them all. Some of them are Dandiya Night, DJ Night, Food Fest, Anime Fest, and so on. At the end of the year, well-known music bands are invited, and a fest called Anweshan is held. Many curricular activities are held in our department, including hackathons, art, singing, and many more.

This is the best government college in West Bengal. Bestest college to be an engineer.

Placements: 90% of students get placed every year from this college. The highest package is 1.2 crores per annum, the lowest is 3 LPA, and the average is 12 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Faang and Maang from my course. There are students like 15-20 who cracked the internships in 3rd-year. Roles offered are software engineer and developer.

Infrastructure: Everything is available here, free Wi-Fi, the best labs, classrooms, and the library is awesome. Hostel is best to live your hostel life. It will give you the best phase of your life. The quality of food is above average. No one will face problem for this reason. Food is best.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. All of them are passed out from IITs or any other foreign renowned colleges. Course curriculum is relevant. Everyone knows Jadavpur students are the best. Semester exams are difficult because we chose the difficult degree for study.

A Comprehensive Review of MAKAUT: Placements, academics, and infrastructure.

Placements: 70-80% of students get placement. The highest package is 12 LPA, and the lowest package is 3 LPA. The top recruiting companies visiting our college are Infosys, Wipro, and Whirpool. There is very less scope for internships, our college does not provide any type of internship guidance.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is too good. Wi-Fi and hostel facilities are on the top level. There is no AC in classrooms. The library environment is well and has AC. The canteen and mess food quality is too bad. Sports and games facilities are average, but not too good.

Faculty: Some teachers are helpful, but most teachers are annoying. Course curriculum is too ancient which doesn't make students industry-ready. Semester exams are too difficult here, even in the CSE department, it's like impossible to pass the exam of some subject in the 3rd semester.

If you are in college to enjoy your college life then you can come here.

Placements: Around 65% of CS students are getting on-campus placements, and around 58% to 60% of IT students are getting on-campus placements. EIE students are also getting on-campus placements at around 65%. The mechanical students are facing a big problem because we have a small mechanical branch, and they are not getting proper on-campus placements. It was around 40% to 50%. The highest package was 14 LPA, and the lowest was 1.5 LPA.

Infrastructure: Our hostel rooms are not new, they are too old, especially our first and second-year hostels. The hostels are the worst. The second-year hostel does not have any mirrors in the bathrooms. I can't say they were dirty. The first-year hostel is a little bit good, but you have to stay with four people in a room, and the hostel mess is not proper, so I will not recommend this hostel. The second-year Wi-Fi is too slow, and we have to face no internet for a minimum of 6 months of the year. The labs are too old; classrooms are okay.

Faculty: No, the teachers are not helpful at all. Before the exam, they will not take any extra classes for you. No, it's not good. We are studying around 52 subjects in my whole course. I don't know where I will apply them. Our exams are too difficult; 50% of us have backlogs.

Other: It has various prospects. We are studying many irrelevant subjects. Our college should cut them off and add some good subjects which we need in our corporate life.

Thoughts regarding Makaut university .

Placements: Almost 80% students placed this year in our university in finance 2024. The highest package offered is 15 LPA. The average package of university is 6 LPA and lowest package that is offered is 4 LPA. The top recruiting companies for CSE are TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini and Cognizant. There are 60% of students who got internship in TCS, Wipro, Infosys. The top roles that are offered SDE, Data Scientist, .

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is decent. The campus area is not so small but not so big also. Inside college free Wi-Fi is available. All labs are on our curriculum. Classrooms are decent. Hostel facility is not available in salt lake campus, it is available in harighata campus .

Faculty: The faculty of the university is not so great because they never complete the syllabus before semester exams. Some of the teachers are good but teach as well. Some of the are not experienced, they are still doing their Ph.D. Some of the teachers are guest teachers in our university. The professors who are Ph.D. holders they teach us less number of time. The course curriculum is good but some of the subjects are useless such as Biology Economics, EVS, Indian Constitution. These subject are useless but other all subjects which require CSE specialization are covered. All labs are also covered. The semester exams of our university are little bit stuff but most of the time in 70 marks paper 50 marks question only cone from one modules. The marking scheme of our university is good because the teachers who teach us they check our copies so less number of students get back. The pass percentage of our college is 90%. .

Other: I chose this course because I want to become an engineer and university should improve the faculty members and the infrastructure. In our university, there are 2 fests which happen in a year. There are many clubs in our college such as sports club, coding club, dance club, fashion club, photography club. There are always competitions happening in the college like hackthon, sports competition and winning students also get prize money. The surrounding of the college is good. This college is located in salt lake which is IT HUB of Kolkata so the location of the college is also good.
