NIT Meghalaya MTech Eligibility & Highlights 2025
NIT Meghalaya MTech is a two-year PG-level programme. It is a full-time programme for BTech passed out candidates. This programme is spread across various specialisations, including Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. All these courses are offered for a duration of two years.
Admission to NIT Meghalaya MTech courses is granted based on GATE scores followed by CCMT counselling. If seats are left vacant, the institute conducts its own entrance test, and interview process. Moreover, the admission is only possible when candidates meet the eligibility criteria.
- Eligibility: BE/BTech degree in a relevant discipline with a 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 60% aggregate for Gen/Gen-EWS/OBC, whereas 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 55% aggregate for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
- Selection: A valid score from the GATE + CCMT Counselling

The fee structure for NIT Meghalaya courses is cumulative of multiple components, such as tuition fee, hostel fee, medical insurance, mess, and other security deposits, etc. Out of all these fee components, there are a few that are charged one time, while others have to be paid semester-wise, such as tuition fees. NIT Meghalaya MTech Admission 2025: How to apply?
NIT Meghalaya MTech course admissions are entrance-based. Those who are willing to get admission must satisfy the eligibility requirements and have a valid score in the GATE exam. Apart from this, students are also required to submit an application form.
Further, students are required to participate in the CCMT counselling for allocation of MTech seats. STEP 1: NIT Meghalaya MTech Application Process 2025
Listed below are complete steps to apply successfully:
Step 1.1: Visit the online admission portal of CCMT at https://ccmt.admissions.nic.in/.
Step 1.2: Click on the 'Apply Now' button to register and make a new account.
Step 1.3: Log in with generated credentials and fill out the application form.
Step 1.4: Upload the required documents and pay the application fees.
Step 1.5: Click on the 'Submit' button.

STEP 2: CCMT Counselling Process
CCMT is a centralised counselling process conducted for admissions to the MTech programme. Generally, three regular rounds along with two extra rounds are held to fill all the seats.
STEP 3: Institute Level Allocation of Vacant Seats

STEP 4: Admission Confirmation

NIT Meghalaya MTech seats are allocated based on students performance in the GATE exam followed by the CCMT counselling process.
