B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering - Batch of 2029

The college has good faculty members with high knowledge.
Placements: In my Chemical Engineering Batch at NIT (National Institute of Technology) Raipur, there are 80 students in one batch. Our placement percentage is 90+. The highest salary offered was about 18-20 LPA, while the average was about 8-9 LPA. Some companies that visit us include Reliance Petroleum, BPCL, and HP.
Infrastructure: Our college has good infrastructure, with good Wi-Fi speed, labs, and a central library for self-studies and book issues. I will give it 3 stars because the classroom is okay, but the hostel facilities are below average. We also don't have a cricket ground on our campus to play cricket.
Faculty: I want to give it 4 stars because the faculty members in our department are highly knowledgeable and highly qualified. A few of them are from very big government institutes. They are helpful sometimes and sometimes not, and they follow traditional methods of teaching with their notes, etc. The semester exams are average. You can pass them before studying for 2 days.

B.Tech. in Biotechnology - Batch of 2029
3.6

The college has very good infrastructure.
Placements: My name is Sheelu Saini, and I am in the Biotech branch of NIT Raipur. The total number of students in our batch is more than 1000, and in our course, the number of students is 80. I don't know the exact percentage, but in our course, it is very low. I don't know too much about the placement right now, but I will surely ask our seniors about this.
Infrastructure: Our academic building is good and has a classical shape. It was started in the year 1956 by the President of that time, Dr Rajendra Prasad. The facilities are good. We have many water coolers in our college. We have a lift in it for going to other floors. There is a central library in our course. The hostel food is okay, which means you can have it without any vomiting.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified. They have too much knowledge about their subject and its real-world use. Our course makes students ready for the industry. Students can work in labs. The semester exams are not too difficult for those who have studied well, but can be challenging for those who didn't study, not even before exams. There are 2 exams in every semester.
Other: I chose this course because I was not sure about leaving my home state. Companies should also visit our branch.

Good infrastructure with a strong network.
Placements: Hello Shiksha, this is Harsh Singh Rajput from Raipur (Chhattisgarh). I am pursuing B.Tech in biotechnology from NIT Raipur. The placements of our college are pretty nice. The average package of CSE lies between 10 and 11 LPA, whereas the biotech placement lies between 6 and 7 LPA. The placement in my course is not too much because there are no companies to visit our college in our area.
Infrastructure: I like the infrastructure of our college, but many people do not like it because of less campus area of our college. My college is just 100 acres, which looks very small for a top government college. There is a library where a lot of books are present, and students can do self-studies if they want. The hostel facilities are good. The food quality is also good, the mess timing is 1 pm to 3 pm for lunch and 7 pm to 9 pm for dinner.
Faculty: Faculty members are pretty impressive, I guess. They don't care if you are late to class, just sit and give attendance. But they are highly qualified and educated from IITs and many famous colleges of India. There are 3 exams in every semester. After 1 month of the start of the semester, there will be mid-semester exams, and after 3-4 months, there will be end semester exam, and after that, there will be a practical exam.
Other: If you are thinking of taking admission in this college, please go ahead.

Nice infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: I am Prachi, from Bhilai (CG). I am a student of NIT Raipur, Biotech branch. The placement in our course is not as good as it appears on online websites. Last year, only 4 students got placed in the whole class because no company visits for the biotech field. The highest package was 17 LPA in Biotechnology.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good for me. There is a sports complex in our college where students can play whatever they want. There is a library and Wi-Fi available for students to use if they want. The hostel facilities are up to the mark, and the mess food is also hygienic. One star is cut because of hostel shortage.
Faculty: The faculty members of our branch are all highly talented and qualified in their respective fields. There are 3 exams, including practical exams: 1 mid-semester, 1 end-semester, and 1 practical exam.
Other: I chose this because I was getting only this college as I belong to CG.

The college is not that good for lower branches.
Placements: Hello, this is Amogh Srivastava, B.Tech in Biotech, 2nd Semester. The placements of our college are pretty good as compared to other colleges. It provides great opportunities to the students who are interested in Non-Core fields. But the placement in Biotech is too low. The highest package offered in the college was around 57 LPA, and the average package is 9-10 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college is not the best. As compared to Tier 1 NITs, it comes under Tier 2 NITs. Most of the students are from Chhattisgarh, as NITs have home state quota. There is a library where Wi-Fi is available and smart boards in the classroom. The hostel food quality is good, but it has a shortage of hostel space.
Faculty: Teachers are absolutely helpful. In terms of qualification, a few of them have done their Bachelor Degree or Master’s Degree from IITs and NITs themselves. Our course makes students ready for the industries. There are 2 exams per semester: 1 Mid-sem and 1 End-sem.
Other: I opted for this course because it was the last option I was getting.

B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2029

A short summary of NIT Raipur's teaching.
Placements: About 80 to 85 percent of students from my branch (Electronic and Communication Engineering) got placements. Top recruiters are from major tech giants like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, PhonePe, Oracle, Deloitte, etc. Many students got internships (about 70-75 percent).
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is quite old, but it is still very much new and still one of the best. Almost all classes, rooms, and hostels have Wi-Fi. Even classrooms have a smart board. There are many sports clubs to join, and even NCC is there. So many sports events happen here.
Faculty: Faculty members are very nice and helpful. They are well-qualified to teach, as most of them are from NITs and IITs. Some of them are PhD holders, so the teaching quality is very high. The course curriculum is highly relevant to what is used in real life, as most of the stuff still used in telecom is taught here.
