Different courses have different eligibility criteria at SRM Valliammai Engineering College, Chennai. For B.Tech and BE, candidates are required to have the basic eligibility required is to have at least 45% marks or above in class 12th from a recognised board/ university. The SRM Valliammai Engineering College accepts the TANCET entrance exams for MBA admission. Candidates are shortlisted based on the scores obtained in the accepted entrance exam. Prospective applicants must ensure to fulfill the eligibility criteria. Those who are selected must present the relevant document to prove their eligibility along with the applicable course fee. 

TANCET counselling process starts soon after the scorecard download window is closed. Typically, the TANCET counselling process for TN MBA admission starts within a month of the scorecard download window close date. TANCET exam is held once every year around the month of March. Typically, Anna University starts the TANCET registration in January, and the same concludes within one month from the start date. The conducting body releases the TANCET admit card for all candidates who will be appearing for the exam. The admit card is downloadable from the official website within a week after the registration window is closed. Candidates will find the TANCET results 15-20 days after the exam is conducted.
