Having a good experience at this college. It has good placements.
Placements: I am a student of CSE from the (2025 passing out) batch of St. Joseph's College of Engineering, Chennai. Approximately 75-80 perecnt of students from my course got placed during the recent placement season. The highest package offered is 47 LPA, the lowest is around 3 LPA, and the average package is 6 LPA. Top recruiters for our course included Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, Accenture, Zoho, HCL and Tiger Analytics. Around 25 percent of students from my course received internships in companies such as Ashok Leyland and other core/IT firms.
Infrastructure: Our department is equipped with spacious classrooms, fully air-conditioned computer and research labs and high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the academic blocks. Campus also includes a well-stocked central library with digital access to journals and e-books relevant to our course. Smart boards and projectors are available in most classrooms to support interactive learning. The hostels offer good infrastructure with clean rooms, 24X7 water and electricity, and Wi-Fi access. The quality of food in the mess is decent and hygienic, with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options available.
Faculty: Teachers in our department are helpful, highly qualified, and knowledgeable in their respective subjects. Most faculty members hold postgraduate or doctoral degrees and are approachable for academic support. The teaching quality is effective, with a mixture of theoretical instruction and practical application. The course curriculum is well-structured and is regularly updated to align with current industry trends. It includes both core subjects and electives relevant to the job market, along with project work and practical training that help students become industry-ready.

Choose the best needed to become the best.
Placements: The percentage of students that will be placed is around 80%, and the remaining will choose off-campus interviews. Zoho and HCL are the top recruiting companies that come to our college. Almost 50% of the students will be offered an internship before the last year. Full stack developer and web developer are the top roles.
Infrastructure: There will be canteen facilities, drinking water facilities, a gym, and a large library that consists of plenty of books for the hostel students, and even day scholars can opt for that. The quality of food is good, and there is special treatment for students opting for sports.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and qualified, and they are well-educated. The teaching in our college is better compared to other colleges, and the semester exams will be a little tough as they contain 15% of content outside of the books that are referred to in our college.
Other: Computer Science is one of the fast-growing courses in the information technology field as it serves as the core for many. AI is one of the best for this course.

Our college provides good placements.
Placements: Around 100% placements are provided. Many students are placed from the 6th semester. They give placement training from the 3rd semester. All top companies are coming for placements. The minimum salary package is 4.5 LPA and the maximum salary package is 24 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good. Classrooms are big. Smart classrooms are provided. Computer labs are fully air-conditioned with the latest model computers. They have separate computer labs for each computer service-related department. Food is the best and the quality of the food is hygienic.
Faculty: Most of the teachers have done Ph.D. and the remaining are doing Ph.D. All teachers are well educated and helpful. They have regular exams after every unit is completed so that students can be easily prepared for exams.

Review of St. Joseph's College of Engineering.
Placements: Among all departments, more than 2,000 students got placed, and only a few got placed for high salary packages, i.e., 9 to 12 LPA. Others got placed with a salary package of 2-6 LPA. Majorly placements are done by Zoho, Deloitte, HCL, Axis, IDFC, Kissflow, L&T, etc.
Infrastructure: As a hosteller, I have faced many issues because our college was flooded recently. Apart from that, our hostel was very good, and they do cleaning once a week. There are no issues with food at our college. All food items are unlimited, and they provide snacks for hostellers. Special classes are also conducted during internal assessment exams. We have LAN connectivity, and it also helps us to study more. It is peaceful to study in the hostel without any distractions.
Faculty: Teaching was good, but I am not satisfied with teachers and management. They conducted aptitude classes for placements, and they provided BEC training. They also provide books for the semesters that we need to return after the semester. Library facilities are also available.

It is good for placements seeking students. But not for students who love exploring life.
Placements: Every year, our college holds a placement record of more than 95%. More than 170 students out of a total of 180 get offer letters from companies. The highest salary package offered is 9.5 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA for students of CSE. Top recruiting companies are Zoho, Thoughtworks, Accenture, Cognizant, Wipro, and Deloitte. All the placed students will be doing their internship during the 8th semester till graduation. Full time employment is applicable after the final semester exams. Top roles offered are a software application developer, quality assurance specialist, and technical product specialist.
Infrastructure: Our hostel students never worry about food as it is more than satisfying compared to other colleges. Wi-Fi is not yet available on our campus and the library hours are more restricted to access. The canteen, departmental store, and medical facilities are available from dawn to dusk, but they are not much concerned about sports and games.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified in terms of academics but not sure in solving practically. The same reflects in teaching quality too. The syllabus is framed by Anna University and that was framed decades before. The real industry requirements have no relevance to the syllabus provided. The exams are moderate when we put in our sincere efforts.
Other: Concentrating more on extra-curricular and personality development of the students will be a great improvement for future students. Events and fests are very rare and not much appreciated.

Go for food and not for engineering.
Placements: 50% of the students gets place and they advertise as if they have placed 100%. Maximum package which came to our college was 14 LPA. Adobe is the biggest recruiter according to the package and CTS, infy is bigger by recruiting most number of students.
Infrastructure: Hostel is flooded at rainy season. Full of snakes and insects. Too hot to stay in summer. Rooms are big enough and spacious but stinky and non hygienic. Food is best here always. 4 in a room is available. Separate block for first year students. Bathrooms are cleaned by cleaner weekly.
Faculty: Faculty is not that bad. Some staffs are rude and some are kind. Some use projector and just leave a youtube video Play instead of lecturing. ABHS and other more clubs are there but nothing is transparent and not sure how it works but show case in advertisement only.
Other: Food is the best here. If you are a foodie you surely can try this college.

Absolutely satisfied because of excellent placements, good quality food.
Placements: Nearly 1106 offers provided for our college last year. The highest package was 22 lacs per annum, average package was 6.8 lacs per annum and the lowest package was 3.5 lacs per annum. ZOHO, Amazon, Lucid were the top recruiters. 60% of students got internship in ZOHO, CTS, KAAR. Top roles offered for our course are Developer, Programmer, Manager.
Infrastructure: We have labs classes often. We have classrooms and hostels with good infrastructure. Quality of the food was awesome in both mess and canteen. Medical facilities are really excellent. Sports and games training are excellent many of my college mates got national level prizes.
Faculty: The teachers are really helpful, qualified and knowledgeable in all other subjects topics. Students gain their knowledge about the particular subject in the classroom itself. Semester exams are really easy for us because they train us in internal marks, the pass percentage was 60%. .
Other: Excellent placements in my course that's why is choose this course.
