The UIET application form is available online on the institute's website. Non-GATE and PhD candidates need to apply on the official website of UIET. The JAC Chandigarh 2026 counselling will be scheduled for BE/BTech admissions offered by the institutes in Chandigarh based on JEE Main scores and the Class 12th pass percentage or equivalent examination. The Joint Admission Committee (JAC) has not yet released the 2026 counselling schedule. However, by looking at last year's schedule, it is anticipated that the JAC Chandigarh 2026 counselling procedure will tentatively start at the end of April 2026.
UIET Chandigarh admission to BTech is based on JEE Main score. The inter-se merit of the candidates for BE admission will be determined on the basis of All India Rank (AIR) obtained in JEE Main 2025 only, except in the Sports Category and the Defence Category. After completion of the selection rounds, BE candidates have to participate in JAC Counselling and provide their preferred institute. Once the seat is allotted, candidates need to pay course fee to confirm their seat.
Aspirants need to fill out the PULEET application form for BE (Lateral Entry). Aspirants applying for BTech must first fill out the JEE Main application form followed by JAC Counselling. The registration cum counselling fee of JAC Delhi is INR 1,500. The fee can be paid in any of the following ways: By Credit/ Debit Card/Internet Banking through Bill Desk Payment Gateway.
Aspirants are first required to fill out the application form for the respective exam. The inter-se merit of the candidates for BE admission will be determined on the basis of All India Rank (AIR) obtained in JEE Main followed by JAC Counselling. For lateral entry, PULEET is conducted by the university for admission. UIET selects aspirants for ME/ M.Tech courses based on GATE score. Non-GATE candidates can also get admission based on their merit in the last qualifying exam.

UIET campus has two academic blocks which are spread across an area of almost 550 acres. The campus includes an academic, administrative, sports ground, swimming pool, gym, post office, botanical gardens, seminar complex, community centre, and other facilities are offered at the campus. The university campus has 8 hostels for boys and 9 hostels for girls with all the necessary amenities.

The students will undergo a mandatory “Summer Training” of two weeks in their respective departments after their second semester exams.
