It has good placements, interactive teaching, regular events, and a balanced syllabus structure.

Placements: I am currently pursuing B.Tech IT (2nd year) at Vel Tech Multi Tech Engineering College, Avadi. The placement opportunities in our college are truly impressive. More than 100 top companies visited the campus this year. In our department alone, a majority of students got placed in reputed companies like Zoho, Infosys, CTS, TCS, Capgemini, Mu Sigma, and Tech Mahindra. Placement training starts from the 2nd year itself, and in the 3rd year, we get training from industry experts, and the actual placement process begins by then. The placement cell is very active and supportive.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is overall good, but there are some network issues as the college is located in a town. However, Wi-Fi is available inside the labs for academic purposes. Classrooms are neat, and each department has its own seminar hall. There are multiple labs, while some need improvement, but many are well-maintained. I do not know much about the hostel, but from what I have heard, it is okay and safe. For day scholars, there are 2-3 canteens, and the food is good. Sports and games are encouraged. Overall, I feel satisfied with facilities and opportunities provided by the college.

Faculty: As for myself, most of the faculty members are really helpful and supportive. They clear our doubts whenever needed. The teaching methods are not limited to just blackboard lectures. We also have interactive sessions like PowerPoint presentations, roleplays, quizzes, and puzzle tests at the end of each semester. The course curriculum is well-structured, not too heavy and not too light, just balanced. Since the college is autonomous, semester exams are relatively manageable. The pass percentage is quite high. There are very few arrears.

Other: The reason I chose IT is that I genuinely love this field. Even though debugging errors in code can be frustrating at times, the overall process is enjoyable for me and gives a sense of satisfaction. It is something I truly like doing. I joined this college through counselling. The college conducts events frequently, including technical workshops, guest lectures (even on future business/startup ideas), and both technical and non-technical events. Cultural events are also held, though not too grand. But that's expected in most engineering colleges. Still, it's enjoyable to participate or watch.

Good college environment and better faculty and nice placements.

Placements: Approximately 70% students got placed from my college. Top recruiters are Accenture, wipro, TCS and Cognizant. The highest package is about 45 LPA by Amazon. The lowest package is 2.2 LPA. However, the placements are good.

Infrastructure: The college is fully covered with Wi-Fi. Labs are fully monetarized by faculty and they assign tasks to every student. They give proper guidance to every student. There are three libraries in our college. For every branch, we have a particular library.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and they teach us very well. Some of the faculty members don't know about anything and they simply come and go without saying anything. The faculty don't know anything. Rest of the faculty members are very good in their subjects.

I'm satisfied with the college infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: The packages offered are from 30,000 to 50,000 for freshers. Companies that came to our college are Wipro, Tata, Infosys etc. Manager-level roles are also offered.

Infrastructure: The hostel Wi-Fi is slow. Labs are good. The mess is very good, and they offer chicken 5 days a week. The classrooms are good. The library is good with AC and Wi-Fi facilities.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful to students. Semester exams are good. The pass percentage is very good. Teachers and students are good. Everyone can pass the exams easily.

Other: I chose this course with my interest. Coding is taught. I am satisfied because it has good infrastructure and facilities. Bus facilities are also provided. The fee is very low compared to other colleges. The college provides good education with good facilities and faculty.

Placements: Placement is the final stage of a student's college life. The real motive behind joining any college is to get placement in top companies. Here at Vel Tech University, the students get proper training on every single stage of their placement procedure. Students get the opportunity to complete their internships in India and abroad like Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Germany, France, etc. Here choice based credit system allows students to cull up the one year of internship in their final year. The companies that offer an internship, as well as placement opportunities to students, are Wipro, Zoho, Amazon, Yamaha, Mind tree, Informatica, Odessa Technologies, MuSigma, Rico Auto components, Deccan Auto, Paypal, etc. The highest package offered to the students of Vel Tech was Rs. 28 Lacs per annum and the average package offered was Rs. 1.73 Lacs per annum.

Infrastructure: Vel Tech has set up the Office of International Relations to provide an opportunity for students to complete a part of their degree programs with renowned Institutions abroad. Vel Tech has established working relations with more than 500 institutions across 56 countries and has entered MoUs with numerous Universities for various academic and research activities.

Faculty: A very large number of courses. Our faculty members present in our college are mostly with PhD degrees and many are Masters in their department regarding labs are mostly focused on DBMS, C, Java, phyton and many more. The digital library is present and IEEE certified for every student who is interested in paper presentation.

It has great placement records with decent infrastructure and good faculty members.

Placements: IT department of Vel Tech Multi Tech is one of the best in the college. Around 46 out 55 students got placed (84%) with the highest salary package of 8 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was of 3LPA and the average salary package offered was 4 LPA. CTS, Infosys, TCS, Zoho, Wipro, Capgemini, and HCL are some recruiters.

Infrastructure: Facilities here are not the best ones but the infrastructure is good while the labs are also good. Wi-Fi isn't available in the department but library is great and contains almost all related books. Classrooms are decent-sized but aren't the best ones.

Faculty: Some teachers have great knowledge & help students gain as much knowledge as possible. Since VTMT received autonomous status recently, the curriculum has improved and is more focused on upcoming domains. Almost 85% students clear the semester.

Other: I opted for this course because IT is the present and future. Our college has a great placement record which helps in getting into IT domain much easier. VTMT focuses more on education than fun and extra activities. If students want to enjoy and have fun then VTMT is not your ideal place but if students want to get placed and end up in a good company then VTMT is a great step. Extracurricular activities still take place but not so much.
