National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Exam 2026 ( NIFT Entrance Exam )
NIFT releases the cutoff at the time of counselling and seat allotment. The cutoff is released category-wise for all the campuses on the NIFT portal. NIFT usually conducts 4 rounds of Counselling and one spot counselling, if required. Read on to find the NIFT Cutoff for the OBC Category.
NIFT Cutoff for OBC
NIFT cutoffs for Round 1, Round 2 and Round 3 for UG and PG Programmes will be released on the website: nift.admissions.nic. NIFT cut-offs are different for every NIFT campus. Candidates who meet the NIFT cut-off for a particular round are offered admission. There is also a NIFT Spot round for the seats that are left after all rounds.
NIFT Counselling 2026 is expected to begin in June 2026.

Steps to check NIFT Cut-off for OBC
Candidates can view the NIFT cutoffs 2026 by following the steps.
- Go to the website of NIFT: admissions.nic.in/NIFT
- Under eServices, click on the OR-CR tab.
- The OR-CR (opening rank - closing rank) OPTION for UG and PG courses will be displayed on the screen.
- Click on the relevant link.
- Select the seat-allotment round, institute, program, and (OBC) category to get the relevant NIFT cut-off 2026.
- Once the cut-off opens, you can download it in PDF format.
Factors Affecting NIFT OBC Cutoff
The factors that affect the NIFT OBC Cutoff are given below.
- Number of candidates participating in the NIFT counselling process
- The merit rank of applicants
- The seat intake for the program opted for admission
- The category under which admission is sought
- The institute applied for admission to
- Domicile Quota of the candidate

NIFT 2026 cut off list will include opening and closing ranks of candidates for each participating institute and category. Among the various categories for which the cut-off would be released are General, SC, ST, OBC-NCl, Domicile, and PwD categories. The candidate needs to consult the cut-off for their respective categories for the programme they are seeking admission to.
Opening rank is the highest rank for which the seat has been allocated. Closing rank is the minimum rank for which admission is allocated. Only such candidates who secure a rank equal to or higher than the closing rank will get admission.
