CUSAT CAT is the shortened form of Cochin University of Science and Technology Common Admission Test. It is conducted by the admission authorities of Cochin University of Science and Technology every year. CUSAT CAT 2021 is organized for admission of candidates to various programmes viz. Engineering, Environmental Studies, Humanities, Law, Marine Sciences, Medical Sciences & Technology, Science, Social Sciences and Technology.

CUSAT CAT Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria to exercise CUSAT CAT 2021 registration. The eligibility criteria varies from programme to programme. Check CUSAT CAT eligibility criteria below:
BTech in Marine Engineering Eligibility Criteria
- Secured 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the Class 12 or equivalent from Kerala Board or any other recognized Board
- Studied in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English in the qualifying examination
- Secured minimum 50% in the English subject either in Class 10 or in Class 12 (applicable to all the categories)
- Candidates have to submit physical fitness and eye fitness certificate as well. The certificate should be obtained from Medical Examiners and approved by DG Shipping
BTech in Naval Architecture & Ship Building
- Scored 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the Class 12 examination or equivalent from Kerala Board or any other recognized Board
- Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics should be the compulsory subjects along with the other subjects in the qualifying examination
- Obtain 50% in the Mathematics subject
- Must have scored 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics when taken together
BTech in Instrumentation & Technology
- Obtained 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics when taken together in the qualifying examination
- Obtain 55% in the Mathematics subject
BTech in Polymer Science & Engineering
- Passed Class 12 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as an optional subject or any other equivalent examination with 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognized Board
- Secured 50% in the Mathematics subject
CUSAT CAT Age Limit
There is no stipulated age limit to apply for the exam. Candidates of any age group can fill the application form and subsequently participate in the counselling in they qualify the entrance
CUSAT CAT 2021 Application Form
The application form was released online on March 10. Before filling CUSAT CAT 2021 application form, candidates must read the complete instructions. The application procedure incorporates various stages such as registration, filling the application form, upload photo & signature, fee payment, centre selection and print confirmation page. Candidates had paid the application fee through credit card, debit cards or net banking until April 08. However, the last date to register for CUSAT CAT 2021 was March 31 (April 07 with fine).

CUSAT CAT 2021 Exam Pattern
The exam pattern elucidates total questions, total marks, breakup of different sections, etc. By observing the exam pattern, candidates will understand the layout of CUSAT CAT question paper. The question paper shall encompass total 250 questions. There will be three sections Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. CUSAT CAT Admit Card 2021
The admission authority issued admit card to the eligible candidates only. CUSAT CAT 2021 admit card was released online on July 02. Candidates will need their login credentials to download the admit card. The admission authority will not share the admit card through email, post or fax. It is an important document for appearing in the exam. Without admit card, no candidate can ingress inside the exam hall.
CUSAT CAT 2021 Answer Key
CUSAT CAT 2021 answer key was released on July 24. It encompasses correct answers to the questions, which was asked in the exam. The window to raise objection open until July 26. The CUSAT CAT cutoff is the minimum rank at which candidates are allotted a branch. The CUSAT CAT cutoff is different for each course and college. The authority will announce the cutoff of CUSAT CAT after each round of counselling.

The CUSAT CAT passing marks for the BTech exam is 10 marks in maths and 10 marks in physics and chemistry combined. However, Kerala SC and ST candidates do not have a minimum passing mark.

The total duration of CUSAT CAT exam is 3 hours. There is also a subject-wise time limit. The Physics section will be conducted in the first 60 minutes, the Chemistry section will be held in the next 45 minutes and finally the mathematics section for 75 minutes.
