GATE 2020 CSE Paper Analysis: Highlights

GATE 2020 CSE paper was conducted on February 8, 2020, in a single session. According to the students, who appeared for the Computer Science and Information Technology (CSE) paper, the difficulty level of the exam was moderate to tough.

  • For most of the students who appeared in the GATE 2020 CSE paper, the exam was easy. Though there were difficult questions in the exam if someone has prepared well for the exam, he/she can attempt the GATE 2020 CSE paper easily. 
  • It can be said that for most of the students, the overall question paper was easy to moderate. There was a total 25 Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.
  • A good number of questions came from Operating Systems, Theory of Computation & Programming, and Data Structure.
  • In the question paper, Mathematics and General Aptitude sections were easy

The easy questions were very easy and could be easily attempted. There were more numerical and geometrical questions. As compared to last year, the paper was difficult. However, the distribution of questions in the GATE 2020 CSE paper was equal.

As per the students who appeared in IT paper, the overall difficulty level was moderate to easy. As compared to last year, the questions were easy. Most of the questions were common to last year.  The questions were mainly asked from:
