IIT BHU bags over 1000 offers till Day 4 of final placement

The Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi has received more than 1,000 placement offers till Day 4 of the 2022-23 placement season. 

The institute has so far received four offers with INR 1 crore plus CTC and 307 pre-placement offers. It has received 37 international offers, which is a 15.62 per cent increase compared to last year. The average CTC has been recorded at approximately INR 24.20 lakh, an increase of 7.77 per cent. 

Around 474 offers, including 305 PPOs, were received till the end of the first two slots of Day 1 of final placements. Quantitative trading firm Graviton Research Capital offered the highest package of INR 1.2 crore. As many as 46 companies participated in the first two slots making a total of 169 offers. Companies that offered packages between INR 15 lakh and INR 1.2 crore included AppDynamics, Squarepoint Capital, Airbnb India, Rakuten Mobile, Sprinklr, Wells Fargo, Uber, Flipkart, Microsoft, Accenture, Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, Walmart, Piramal and Navi, among others.

In 2022, IIT BHU witnessed a remarkable the highest package of INR 2.05 crore per annum and an average package of INR 21.89 LPA. Top recruiters included Rakuten, Uber, Zeta, Microsoft SWE, and Oracle. However, in 2023, while the highest package slightly decreased to INR 1.2 crore per annum, the average package improved to INR 23.13 LPA, with Graviton Research Capital emerging as the top recruiter. These trends showcase the institution's strong placement record and its ability to attract prestigious employers.

The total fee of tuition for the M.Tech course at IIT BHU, especially for 2-year courses, is Rs. 40,000. The fee part of the M.Tech course also has different parts too, likewise the Mess Advance Charge, Registration/Enrolment, Campus Services, Medical, etc.

The institute gives number of specialisations for M.Tech courses. These specialisations cover a range of subjects. The highest number of seats is only given to one specialisation at IIT BHU. The name of the specialisations, along with the number of seats, is provided in the following columns:

The initial dates of the semester beginning and registration for M.Tech at IIT BHU usually happen in July. The registration initiates in July, around the 15th, and the start of the classes is held in the last week of July.

For the recent AY (academic year), the application fee for JEE Advanced became slightly higher than the previous year, for enrollment in the BTech course at IIT Varanasi. The application fee is mentioned in the cells below:
